Dear lord I love the swap but how do you get in there to work on anything other than just buy a new powertrain

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
I met you back in August at TruckFest in Denver (I was in the little blue Saturn you blew past on I-25 ) never thought about finding you on the board I must say your Burb is pretty freakin' sweet. Without a doubt the best Dmax swap I've seen done on a classic chevy.

I met you on powertour this past summer, in Muskegon.
Your burb and your buddy's orange whippled burb were my motivation to find a blazer and get cracking on it for an awesome family cruiser. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=529064

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
Yep at 11.50 you need a 6pt roll cage for sure. You should be there easily Chad.

I dont think i can bring myself to putting a cage in the burb quess i will just keep it 11.50 or slower. Would any of you have blueprints for a invisable cage?

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
I'm lookin to do the same to my truck as a daily driver. My truck is a 67 3/4 ton SWB. Will the front suspension take the weight from the D-Max?

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
my front suspension is all factory setup. running a stock front spring with a 2 in drop spindle. takes the weight just fine!
