Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
So, i have not been doing much to the frame or cab, but i took on rebuilding the tranny from scratch, and got it done in one week.

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
I like the bed liner under the cab. I'm planning on doing that to mine and the inside of the wheel wells, too.
What product did you use for it/ where did you get it, because it looked like you did it yourself and it looks great. |

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
JSF3rd,
I used raptor liner, got IR with the gun on amazon.com. I git the idea from another peron on here, stud works great, is easy to apply and is tough as rock. |

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
Good to know. I've used rattle can bed liner on non-auotmotive projects, but I don't trust it on my truck. Especially when it's so much work to do it in the first place.
Thanks for the info. |

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
Your truck looks awesome!
![]() ![]() I have to do my fuel and brake lines. What did you use? What do you recommend? I have a rear-mounted camaro tank on a 72 c10 short bed with a mildly worked 454. Factory disc brake set up Thanks! |

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
Mapearso,
I used aluminium fuel line from summit auto. Easy to work with, mold and set. The tank i have is a custom built one for our trucks, then i used an electronic fuel pump. Brakes: I have new disc brakes with new booster and such. I went to napa and oriely auto to get my brake lines. I got the ones that have a greenish protective coating on them, then i borrowed a bender from a builder buddy and started to go for it. I would recommend getting old wire hangers and use to test bend and get a pattern to copy. it is not fast, so take your time and get extra line or two, for that opps bend. |

Can't believe you would reduce the value of your truck like this. War Eagle!

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
Looking good even though it will probably end up looking like a box of Tide rolling down the road. Keep up the good work.

Re: 1969 C-10 CST Build
The exhaust is not correct. It should be 45 degree not 90. that will get corrected. Also, the exhaust will stick out the side of the bed
