I am using Meguiar's NXT Generation Metal Polish and I have a small buffing pad on a air cut off tool.

Those caps and rings are going to look great. I agree, the amber lens looks much better.

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
Are those original center caps for the truck?
I've seen them before and always wondered what the application was. (I thought they were caprice center caps) This is the style that is more common,...

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
To the best of mine & my Dad's knowledge & memory they were on the truck when it was bought new.
I did some research & I read that the 73-76 trucks had a bolt from behind metal center cap & are pretty rare. |

Truck looks great! Have you seen my build/intro thread (linked below)? I did something very similar, interior wise, to what you are doing. K

Once I figured out how rare they were & being original I knew I had to get the cleaned up & make them work.
Thank you! It's coming along. Quote:

I've been working on the 76 at my Dads shop for space purposes... I needed to get some stuff out of the attic today at my house and had a drive way full of Chevy's....

The 75 is a beautiful truck, I like the direction you're taking it. I love the stock lowered look.

The 76 looks good, nice, clean and simple!
The blue one in the driveway looks good too...

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
I think the truck show will be a go for 2013 but you should contact is2blu on the board. Gaileen will be able to give you the specifics. Or check out www.alltrucknats.com
The first week of May is the Magic Dragon Street Meet in Lake Ozark, MO. This year they are capping the entrants to 1,100 as they are running out of room. It's a decent show. Gearys5600 came up last year with some of his crew. I "think" he's planning on coming back. You can search for Magic Dragon on Google and it will bring it up.
