Re: Engine Analyzer and Drag Analyzer.. Willing to put your info in.

Sinister,

You gave me flow numbers, but at what lift?
No compression ratio
I'm assuming 112lc is 112 lobe seperation. What's the intake centerline?
I'm assuming the intake is a single plain?

If you get bored, let me know and I'll give you all the specs on my Nova and you can plug the power curve into DA. Maybe you can find out where that illusive 8 is hiding. But don't want to take time and effort away from the guys here.

Re: Engine Analyzer and Drag Analyzer.. Willing to put your info in.

69trk,

I need to know what the lobe seperation is on your cam or exhaust centerline. You only gave me intake centerline. I could not find any cam timing info on the web. I have the rest of you motor done and ready for it.

Re: Engine Analyzer and Drag Analyzer.. Willing to put your info in.

Phipp13,

I need to know what pulleys you are running. Crank and blower size or number of teeth on the coggs. It won't let me simply put psi in for boost. I have everything else done and saved.

Re: Engine Analyzer and Drag Analyzer.. Willing to put your info in.

68 C-10,

I tried finding the lobe seperation or exhaust center for that cam and was not very lucky. If you can find that, that would be great. The rest of it is saved.

Re: Engine Analyzer and Drag Analyzer.. Willing to put your info in.

I'll try to play with the truck stuff later tonight or tomorrow. I am leaving for dinner in a few with my wife..

As far as headers. I quickly plaid with diameter and length as well as doing an optimze.. Believe it or not, you are not loosing much with you current set up. With 2.25" x 41" your only gaining 5ftlbs at peak and 2hp at peak.

I have it optimizing your cam while I'm gone. Normally an hour long thing.

It sounds like there is no need to dump $700 in a new set of supercomps.

Re: Engine Analyzer and Drag Analyzer.. Willing to put your info in.

shaun, the crank pulley is 6" and the blower pulley is 2.625". i believe thats 144% overdriven. i really apprechiate you doing this for me. what do you think of my cam profile?? i was told that it was a good cam for running a blower by the people who sold it to me.also i just looked at the dif between 1.5/1.6 rocker ratios and corrected lift 4.88/5.10@1.5 should be 5.10/5.44 for a 1.6 rocker
here is some added vehicle info
weight 3800 lbs
racing turbo 400
stall 3200 kinda low for blower app
ford 9" posi diff 4.10
tire 31x16.5x15
weight bias 55/45

Here is your engine dyno stuff.. Unfortunately, I'm getting the "converter is too low" to make it work in drag analyzer. I'll play with it more.

Hey 69trk,

Does this look a little more like your graph?

I had the bearing and piston tolerances set to production vs race. Seemed to make a little difference
