I ended up buying pacific fabrication's, but there isn't a whole lot there for the money. Could've fabed my own, but didnt want to mess around with getting it lined up right.

Was it a universal one? I don't see how it attaches without other bracketry, which seems unnessary if designed for our trucks. I noticed you had to modify it some....

Do you still have the Eaton? I may be interested in the third member or maybe whole thing depending on price and if we could meet up somewhere sometime. It would be a spare for me, so not a rush thing by any means.

Keep up the good work!

Its made for 67-72 trucks by pacific fabrication. Yes it has brackets that bolt in the frame rails, but not going to bolt it in till the transmission is hooked up to it so i get it where i want it. And yes you have to run a brake line threw that side most people just drill a hole when i want to make it look like the other side.

Yes i do! Im sure we could work something out on the eaton.

If you don't mind me asking why did you go with the pac fab crossmember over DD?
I have a thread going regarding which crossmember to use.

Now your cookin with gas! By the looks of it, things should work great. Keep at it. I think this part of the build was the most fun.

Re: 72 chevy modern swap

Threw the np205 on the transmission. All the bolts went in, but one.. Took me awhile to get it figured out. I had to oval out one of the holes. Nothing hard. Looks great and in the exact same location. The tcase cross shift bar had to be grinded down just a wee bit so it doesnt hit the adapter housing.

Re: 72 chevy modern swap

I'm having headers problems boys, I noticed on Chris' reno project he had tried hedman block headers. The thing i dont like about them 1/4 flange, 18 gauge pipes, and 3 inch collecter. Ive been looking at hookers block hugger which are a little better 5/16 flange, 2.5 collecter, but only 18 gauge pipes. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hok-2313hkr/overview/

Re: 72 chevy modern swap

I got a 31 gallon off eBay for 96$ shipped. So I bought the sender for the efi from Classic parts for 48$ Straps for 28$ and a walbro pump and kit for 80$. Since the picture I changed the clamps added a different rubber mount and screen.

Re: 72 chevy modern swap

Got the np205 shift linkage all fabbed up last night, and works pretty good. Also i added a stiffener to the rear housing of the trans to the shift bar mount. Pretty stable now.

Well maybe not "better" but if I was going to install in a non efi tank I would use the tanks inc assembly like you did.

I had the same plans as you until I seen wasted income's 69LWB build. A buddy of mine used the same assembly as you for a TBI set up a few years back. good quality from what I remember.

I am jealous with your build.....I keep getting pulled away for other things and haven't been able to work on my project. So its just order parts until I run out of money. Which should not take long!!!lol!
Right now time is not my friend!!!
