Thanx for the compliments Dr. Evil. The lowering coil springs, and lowering shocks were purchased from CPP, A.K.A. Classic Performance Products. I have not had to realign my truck (no issues), although I did remove the lower bump stops on the lower control arms as I did not have any travel. My 72' will still bottom out if you hit a big pothole. The installation was fairly easy. The truck rides nice, overall I am happy with the ride, and the stance. Thank you for inquiring and hope to see your 70' GMC.

Lots of coolness in here, would be nice if people posted specs when they posted, as a noob it would be most helpful. Level of drop, tires, wheels, blah blah blah.

When I get my **** on, I'll post up my truck. Gonna go for 5.5" up front, 6" out back. See where that leaves me.

I understand about drop spindals, shock relocation kits, c notch and adjustable trac bar. But wtf are "blocks" for? what are they? where do they go? and what do they do???...Any Pics?

Lowering blocks effectively drop the truck by raising the rear end into the body basically. You can custom make them any size...I've seen them from 1"-3". In the picture they are the silver rectangles between the trailing arm and the rear assembly.

Blocks space the axle away from it's mounting point. On the trailing arm trucks, puttin on blocks spaces the axles upwards, lowering the truck. On trucks with the axles under the leaf springs, they can be used to lift a truck.

Cheapest, but not always the best (with leafs)

thanks. i used to play with the camera a lot, trying to be all photographer and whatnot, but now i pretty much just leave it on auto.

I am thinking of getting a new camera this spring and maybe taking a class on actually putting it to use correctly. I'd be more than happy to share what i learn.

if i'm understanding your question, you don't need a new cross member unless you're lookin to lay frame, or close to that.

My setup is bagged, bolt in C notched, with 2.5" blocks. I did cut holes in the x member for exhaust, and i flipped the carrier bearing so it's up higher. depending on your front end setup, your front cross member is going to hit long before the carrier bearing x member.

as for the T arms, i didn't see any need to move them. They are still in the factory location in my setup.
