Re: Bagged and chopped 68
When you are done, you want to work on my 68? It has been in my garage for almost 4 years and it is still gathering dust. It is chopped 3" and smoothed inside and out. The front suspension is all done with CPP tubular A arms and the plan is to put a Gen III motor in it. The rear suspension is done up with a Pete and Jakes Coilover ladder setup.
great work, by the way---hope to see pics of it when it is done

Re: Bagged and chopped 68
nice build..i like the chop on it.
what color is forest service green? im usually a fan of white, since they make the truck look more "elegant", but after all the mody mods you have done, i dont see white giving any justice to all that work

Re: Bagged and chopped 68
Sweet chop. I used some hinges out of a 57' bel air and they worked like a charm.
Bada** project, keep it up. Last edited by NuttinSpecial; 06-27-2012 at 11:45 PM. |

Re: Bagged and chopped 68
I have a 68 in my shop that has a 3" chop on the top, with smoothed doors, smoothed dash, bear claw latches, and a completely smoothed firewall. The truck was chopped when I bought it and the glass has already been cut to fit. The side windows are one piece units with mirro mounts for late model style mirrors to graft into the door. I am still on pieces all over my garage floor and some day (that infamous statement) I will finish the build. I am also going to have the rear window that will open up at the bottom to allow for a fresh air flow. This will be done with an Astro van side window pop open design.

Re: Bagged and chopped 68
Truck is lookin really good! Ah, A labor of love! Nice job, and I know how much work goes into a truck of this caliber! For what it's worth, mine is PPG Wintermint Green.
