Here is what i got done this weekend. I bought the leaf springs from a Ford Explorer, they were one of the few vehicles that have a similar setup, in which the hangers are under the chassis. I boxed in the frame and bolted the hangers, i welded 1inch pipe in between the frame and the 1/4 inch metal plate for support. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hello Hot Rod World, ive been kinda laid back lately and not done much to my chassis. I walked by it, talked to it, and laid a beer can on it, but havent worked on it.
But what I did do, was take advantage of having yesterday off from work and drive down to Laredo to see my parents, and while I was here, snapped a couple of pics of the progress on the body. I swear, I have a kick ass dad, he is working on my truck, no amount of money will ever be enough to pay him. So here is a couple of pics....

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Good morning to all, Merry Xmas!!!
well at least i feel like its christmas, im like a 5 yr old on xmas day, opening box after box. I received my TCI leaf spring kit, my Pirate Jack brake booster/master cylinder kit, my Raptor bedliner kit (which ill use to spray underneath the cab, running boards and inside the fender wells) and to make things even better, the guy whom i took the chassis to have it blasted and painted, called me last night saying it was ready!!!! So back to work!!!!

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hey Bam, we've been dormant for a while, but now that im getting parts in and chassis ready, its back to working on it.
I decided to chunk the Explorer leaf springs I bought. After sleeping on it over and over, i decided that the rear suspension was not a good place to take shortcuts or chances. So I went ahead and ordered the TCI Kit. This way i know im square and straight, figured if I didnt, I would probably spend the money I saved in tires every six months. Besides, im sure ill find deals on other areas. So far, Ive been lucky with Craigslists finds, so no complaints. Ill definately keep the pics coming and I appreciate your words of encourgement, they always hype me up.
