Solid color for me is any of the Greens... especially the light and medium greens.

2 tone, you can't beat Ochre and White.

I'm all about the Red/White Combo!! But, in my ever so humble opinion, just about all Two-tone color Combos work for me too.

that's because there never was one unless someone got one painted that way after it left the factory. Not a factory option.

What's interesting is - when I was 18-20 years old - I hated the Dark & Med Green colors but - in my old age I have come to favor the greens but - then again if its a 67-72 or - they all look good.

I'm partially with you on this one. I can't say I hated them, but when I was 18, the olive trucks were literally everywhere, they were super-popular, at least where I lived, and no one really gave them a second thought. I had at one time even considered changing the colors on mine.

Now, the Olives are much more rare, and I can't count how many build threads I've seen where when the truck is taken apart, you can see that the original color was olive, and the truck was repainted another color at some point in the past.

Interestingly enough, the olive colors seem to be getting more popular again even on newer cars these days.

HO with white combo. First pic is the day I got the truck. Washed the dust off the faded Hugger Orange/White, but after three days of polishing, the paint became alive again. Changed wheels.

Re: Best color on our trucks, in your opinion

Have to say the dark olive is gaining speed for my 71 SWB. If I do, I'd run with the medium olive top like 70cst, because I think it would look nicer on a Custom Deluxe. Belts top and bottom.

The solid and lower belt on that Cheyenne looks fantastic Ekliptix. I wouldn't change a thing. Must be a 4/6 drop minimum. All four wheels 8"?

4.5/6 drop, yes 8" wheels all around.

Re: Best color on our trucks, in your opinion

Beautiful trucks, all! I'm partial to the white/color/white/color combo that came out when I was working at the Chevy dealer(s), on and off from '70 to '72. I like mine white/hugger orange, except I'm going to repaint the lower back to white. When my FIL had it repainted about 30 years ago, the lower white got painted orange, and I never liked it. It looks "old school" to have it white/hugger orange/white.

Re: Best color on our trucks, in your opinion

found this paint scheme looking for the 558 code on my Super. 558 is a medium blue with a dark blue top. The colors are switched on this truck, which is the 559 paint code. I like it a lot. Props to the board member. This truck is super.
