Ouch there goes my "on the cheap" plan it ended up costing me the same amount of money, however on the bright side I got a nice new drill out of the deal.

You were right about the colors. My sos said the same thing. I am going to repaint the orange and stay with sun yellow and black. anyway thanks for you comment and I hope that we can still be loyal truck builders. No harn No fawl

Today I finished removing the rivets I wanted out of the replacement frame section.
It never gets any easier no matter how many rivets I remove and these were double tough since its a 3/4 ton frame and its double plated.

I havent posted an update in awhile as you all know so I will fill you in on the project status.
I haven't replaced the rear suspension frame section yet, the project is still where it was at last update nothing has changed.
Right now the project is on hold mainly due to lack of funds, also since the entire project is being done outside weather is a factor and since im in kansas winter is officialy here and I wont be getting any more work done untill spring so I will be saving up some cash and get back on it in the spring when the weather is nice.

Unexpected update.
My tight money situation unexpectedly just got resolved, so the project is back on full steam ahead again.
Time to order some truck parts!
Also I'm considering going to a different level with the restomod.

I will give you a sneak peek at one of the upgrades I'm going to be doing.

While researching some upgrades that I can do to modernize the functionality and drivability of the C10 I ran across a factory option that I absolutely can't live without.
K30 = Speed and Cruise Control
So I'm wondering what was the first year this was available on the C10 as an option, if anyone knows please share.
There is also an aftermarket unit available for those of you who are like me and cant live without it.

Also I forgot to mention in the above post that the aftermarket Cruise Control unit above is made by Dakota Digital.

I havent had any parts to put on it untill recently and im still gathering parts. The cold weather and no garage are working against me and it may be spring before there are any new pickup pics.

I wanted to take a few minuites to talk about the Forever Sharp Steering Wheel I got for Christmas from my Wife.
It is rare you get your moneys worth out of a aftermarket product these days, it always seems like there is something wrong with it, it doesnt fit as expected, its poor quality, poor craftsmanship, a poor finish or something else equally as dissapointing.
