Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build
I started cramming the drivetrain in. It was the hardest part of the job so far. You wouldn't think shoving a 95 engine into an 84 K member mounted to a 63 Chevy would be so difficult. Haha

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build
Tomorrow includes tranny crossmember, front frame horns, and re installing the front suspension. Then I'm getting it out of his shop and get started on the body work and floors. Don't think I'll make the show next weekend. But I'm going to try. Haha

Got it set back down. Still need to cut the floors out to get it to sit all the way down.

Rear view. Mind you that it isn't all the way layed out in this out there's still air in the bags. Enough for when I cut the rockers off

Hi there, another newbie here. MAN, you got my dream panel! And your work on it is impressive, love the apache hood, that'll be like icing on the cake.
Great fabrication skillz too. You keep working, i'll keep looking...

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build
Nope. She's not going to make it this year unfortunately but I'll still be down for sure. I've been busy and wasn't able to get it moved on time so I lost a few days on it. Schools coming to an end and the stuff I have to do gets crazier before it ends. Luckily all my senior students are gone so my class sizes dropped about a 1/3. Makes life easier.

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build
Thanks man. Most of the fab work was done by a friend who owns a shop. I did the notches and the front end (besides the pancake). Now I'm doing the floors from scratch and finishing it up

Decided to put some plywood down under the main part of the body. Didn't want it in the gravel. Haha

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build
Cut the floors out. They were all rotted and not worthy of keeping. I added a brace behind the "cab" which kept everything in place.

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build
Hopefully I'll have enough clearance with the hood. The body is still coming down roughly 2". It's gonna be close.
