Worked for a few hours this evening. Installed the steering box and steering linkage as well as the brake calipers. I plan on rolling it out into the driveway in the next few days to set the engine in, so I threw the wheels on to see how they look. I wonder how much more it will drop in the front when the motor is in?

The plan is to get the rear drop parts installed, to include the ECE drop trailing arm crossmember (ugh), and get the engine set in.

stepside box lol. When i removed the leaf spring brackets from my frame I used a 4 inch flap wheel on my dewalt to grind off the rivet heads then used and air hammer to drive out the remainder.

Ah-ha! Makes sense now, I was tired when I read it. lol Truth be told I like fleetside beds more, but I am going to keep this one stock "appearing" at the least.

I am grinding an X into the head and then pushing them out with a air hammer, It's just real tough under the truck with all the sheet metal in the way. Not to mention all the dust, dirt, and metal shavings.

Thanks brother, I am doing my best. Finishing up school this week (bachelors degree) so not much will be done through Wednesday. But it will be ON starting Thursday after work!

Finished with school!! What a huge weight off my shoulders, and it opened up a bunch of time to work on the truck. Worked for a few hours tonight removing the trailing arms, track bar, and a couple more rivets in the trailing arm cross member. I also received some Lokar swag...

It is back on four wheels!! After a tough battle with 12 devil spawn rivets, the trailing arm crossmember is in and the 6" drop springs and super track bar are installed. It was dark by the time I could roll it out for a pic, but I took one anyway. Check it out...
