Thanks a bunch AustinScott! Great write up of dimensions. I should be able to give them to my buddy and he can whip one up in his brake.

I have over $1500 in mine, but that included blasting and painting the frames, new foams and covers, and paying to have them assembled. Worth every penny!

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

$300-450 for a used setup, add $400-$500 for cushions, custom work on covers starting around $300-$400 n up. Looking at a nice set with new cushions in the ball park of $1100-$1400.
Ricks Upholstery on the web made those 50th Gold n White BB's. He does nice work. Had him do covers for one of mine a few years ago in green hounds tooth. Quality workmanship.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

well Here are mine, i bought a swb 68 fleet (no motor/trans) because i needed a good bed and body, only paid $2000 and it came with the seat that had recently been redone. I heard the seat was worth $1000 but couldnt believe it. I wanted to put a floor shifter with oone of those bada$$ shifter knobs so i wanted to go buckets and a custom console but i really like the buddy seat.

I could be wrong, but from the angle of the photo the frame looks a little narrow, like it could maybe a dodge frame, again I hope I'm wrong.

Price was right. Now decide how you want to restore them. Looks like you may need some foam but when you are finished you should have close to what a bench would run you. Plus personally "buddys" cured that feeling you get from our traditional bench seats after 3 hrs of driving. So win win for you. Enjoy them and let us know your intent and final outcome.

They all came in vinyl, but some folks have them recovered with cloth in them. That is about $4-500 dollar score... I would highly recommend "Truckseats" on this forum for your covers. They do an awesome job and are reasonable.
