Anyone running these with an 8.5" wheel on the front? Backs easy to get back space but fronts a little different

Heres my 72' K5 with 20/22 ramblers. The truck has a simple bag job with a bolt in notch.

Fronts are 20x8 with 4-1/2" BS
Rears are 22x9 with 5" BS

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims

Hi everyone. I posted a thread about the CPP spindles (non modular) and track width, but got no answers. So I figured I'd rephrase my question and ask it here. I have a 71 C10 and plan on running the 20" rambler wheel with a 4.5/6 drop. From what I've read ideal BS for a 20x8.5 wheel with that drop is 5.25-5.5. The rambler wheel only comes in 20x8 with a 4.5 BS. I am going to be ordering PBFab control arms and am trying to figure out if it would be better to get the 1" narrow ones. Anybody using those spindles (CP4S4-3) and that drop with the 20" rambler wheel ? Or with any input on the matter ?
much thanks

Nobody has any input ? Anyone run the 20x10.5 on the rear ? What modifications if any ?

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims

So I have the 20x10/w 5.5" bs. I also have a 69 so the rear end is narrower. I had to use .5"spacers, 3/4 would be perfect but dont like that idea. The same wheel on your truck would be perfect bit not sure about the 10.5". You might have to massage the outer wheel well a little. I got nothing for you on the front with the control arm. Mine has stock arm and running a 8.5"wheel with no problems. I would think your arms might have a better fit, but not sure.

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims

I have the 22x11 in the rear and had to run 3/4” spacers and only have about 1/2” clearance between the inner fenders. I have the 71-72 axle. I was leary about running spacers that big but I had a set of hub centric spacers made so it isn’t putting all the stress on long studs. I’ve put 4 or 5k miles on them with no issues.

Thanks for the input guys. So neither of you had to widen the tubs ? Don't really want to but would if that's what it takes.

My tubs are factory. As far as the front end, I have the 20x8 4.5” BS. On 3/5 drop and I’ve got no fitment issues.

Can you see any potential issues in the front with a 4.5" drop ? What size tire are you running ? Thanks

255/40/20, it’s hard to tell man. You will just have to do some measuring especially since you plan on running aftermarket control arms. The clearance I’ve got is on factory length arms. I’ll attach a close up pic of the front end just to give you an idea anyway.

Curious for those that have these wheels.... How do the front 'center cap' area of the wheel attach? Are they actually part of the wheel or an actual cap?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

It's a push-in cap.

Clipped in place or O-ring? Is the cap just chromed plastic?
