Re: Project Blue Goose
Man, Sweet truck, I just put my 69 GMC short fleet in the paint shop this morning.
The original color was 507 light Blue. The PO painted it 503 light green and it looks ok, but a cheap enamel paint job. I decided (with some light urging from Lolife99) to put back to the original color. and You just gave me the crossover Basecoat/clearcoat Deltron number...."DBU-15004", Thanks a lot. I cant wait to see more updates of your truck!! Dale Check out my build.. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=388447

Re: Project Blue Goose
No real progress has happened to the truck. I did purchased alot of parts. My life has been very busy since I started this project. I changed jobs, started night school, got married, and just purchased my first house last June so thats where all of my money and time is being spent. I've been thinking about just putting the truck back together.

Re: Project Blue Goose
The yard is bigger than my last place. As for the garage in the house, it had a 4in. terracotta wall that separated the garage from the basement that I took down. The old dimensions of the inside of the garage was 9 1/2 ft wide by 19 ft long. I am going to build a new wall to separate the two and my garage will be 11-12 ft wide in locations by 24 ft long.
All of the other pics of garages are of my buddy's place, my uncle's place or my previous job (which is where I was doing all of the painting)

Re: Project Blue Goose
This is what the truck looks like right now but it is on the other side of the garage
The bed is completely finished but I do have a NOS tailgate to replace the repo one someday My plans for the spring is to pull the cab off and put the rolling frame in my garage and start working on it.

Re: Project Blue Goose
Got my Porterbuilt boxes for the rear suspension Not sure what I want to do up front I originally was gonna run dropped coil springs and 2-1/2" Bell Tech spindles. But I would like to get the wheels centered so then there are only a few options.
1 - Mild Dropmember then you need to go with R@P, tubular A-arms, air bags and different spindles. 2 - Porterbuilt custom upper and lower tubular A-arms but you need to run air bags and different spindles. 3 - Hotckins lower A-arms and you can go either coil springs or airbags. I am going to run 15" wheels so Nate said the Bell Tech spindles won't work because they are 2-1/2" drop.

Thanks Rick, I haven't rode it much in the last few years. I've even entertained selling it to fund my truck but my Wife won't let me It's a 2004 Deuce, It's been fun and also trouble

Re: Project Blue Goose
I'm knocking out the rivets in the tranny crossmember and some misc. brackets and I'll bolt them back in after paint. It will also make it easy if I decide to go with an automatic.
I still have to cut the notch and take out the stock TA crossmember. Then a lot of drilling
