Re: Calling all 2wd blazer pics!

Kev,

Your truck is awesome. I use yours as a guideline for how my truck will look also.

We've been trying to find out who that truck belonged to.

Ditto on more details.

WOW! I did not know my Blazer was so well liked. I would really like to thank everybody for the very nice compliments. A few freinds and I will be attending the Good-Guy's show in Pleasanton Ca. on Nov.10-11. I would like to see some more 69-72 2wd blazers there. Let me know if you can attend.

Re: Calling all 2wd blazer pics!

Hey Kevin, I like the changes to the dash you've made, the light grey looks great and I like the new steering wheel/column bling!

If you don't mind you should make your own hello thread in the Blazer section (I saw you made one in the Welcome section in April, but as you can tell I and a lot of others missed it). We love to see more pictures... before, during, after, engine, suspension, mods, anything else... we are suckers for this stuff.

Re: Calling all 2wd blazer pics!

I know it's it's not a '67-'72, but I wanted to let you guys know I'm still in it with my new '80 2wd Blazer. Going to make my '70 LWB a daily and really do up the Blazer nice.

How it it looked when I got it- and then 2 weeks later. Only rust is in the hood. Orig Red interior is nice so I plan to make the outside black.

Love your Blazer Kevin, that mag sits next to my bed and is one of my favorite blazers. Gotta love the serpentine belt system. Makes it so much easier to start.

Re: Calling all 2wd blazer pics!

jmuck,

I love it!

Can you give us some info, like what wheel and tire size and what tires are those? How did you do your suspension? I'm going to be converting to 2wd myself soon and would love to know how you did yours.

Nice work!

Nice work!
The wheels are 20X8.5 in front and 20X10 in the rear. Front tires are 255/45R20 & rear are 265/50R20. On the front suspension I got a crossmember out of an 86 chevy truck and channeled it 1.5" and I put 3" belltech drop spindles on it w/ bags. On the rear a built a triangulated 4 link with bags. I had to build custom wheel tubs for the rear and cut out the front fenders. I also had to build custom backseat brackets to mount the backseat in.

Re: Calling all 2wd blazer pics!

This is a photo of the back wheel wells and the back seat & brackets. The picture of brackets didn't turn out to good. I also cut down the height of the back seat 2.5".
