Re: UXDesigner's 1970 5.3 Chevy Swap

I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them. What were the part number of the engine plates you used? Did you end up changing them? You mentioned moving the engine back. Did you have any clearance issues with the stock oil pan? Any pics of how low it hangs down? I want to put an LS in the truck I'm building for my son. I also want to use as many of the factory parts as I can.

1. I used Classic Performance Parts (CPP) LS Sliders -
LS1-KU-P
2. Yes, slid the engine back about .5 inch with no clearance issues
3. It hangs below the ceossmember but many folks on here use the stick oil pan
4. The stock perches worked perfect, pictures show the fit

Re: UXDesigner's 1970 5.3 Chevy Swap

Off she goes! I ended up selling the truck last November after we had decided to relocate. I had full intent to build and sell in an effort to learn as much about LS swaps and make a few bucks to fund another project to keep. It was a great learning experience and already have a new project in the garage!
