I made one deal with him. Went smooth, but with a lot of smooth talk also. I saw right through him. I told myself I would never buy from him again. sorry to hear what happened.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Quoting me is prob the least of your problems right now. You blab too much in your sales posts and pm. You are digging yourself deeper by quoting everyone in this thread.
Here is some advice for the future, If you ever decide to sell again, make it one deal at a time. It's much easier. Have a good evening. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Come on Jeff, Randy's not that great . It's BS that someone who is dishonest can make you question your trust in other board members. Randy sent me a radio delete plate and trusted me to send him a check, I hate to see someone who is cool get burnt. No pun intended

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
I paid $15.00 for an alternator bracket on August 2nd. PM'd Duane a couple times and he stated his father was having problems. PM'd him a couple more times and no response. I sent an email to the address in his profile and no response. Opened up a Paypal dispute. It is only $15.00 but I needed that bracket.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Another reason to pay the paypal fees. I had to bother him until I got my refund and he made a comment that it was like I was ripping him off because of it. That is when I stopped dealing with him.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
As far as Duane on the shipping deal, I think its all up to me, he had his chance for months to help get it straightened out and didn't, so he can't help me now, I don't think.
Now its up to Attorney General to let me know who I need to go after whether it be Duane, Estes or the Collection Agency and what I need to do, if I can do anything. I'm sorry to hear all of the other fine members deals going bad with him, I'd suggest if you can file a pay pal claim to all who didn't send it as a gift, ASAP. Thanks to you all for the support

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
I'm a new member on the board have bought some items from other board members and have had very good results from everyone.....except HMC!!! I bought some trim and a tach dash from Duane a few months ago....got the run around from him for a few weeks on shipping. After about 3 weeks of excuses I got frustrated and called him out on it, he pointed me to the buyer and sellers code of ethics thread (seriously)and advised me read it?? He indicated that it allowed adequate time for shipment and that I had not allowed enough time for him to ship. Obviously adequate time is more than 3 weeks?? Actually the code of ethics doesn't mention anything for adequate time for shipment.....only payment....but its understood I know! My wife I have sold many items on eBay and we always ship within 3 days after payment is received. Personally I think that 3 days to 1 week is more than enough time for shipment!! Anyway, Duane assured me it was because of the situation with his dad and was doing the best he could.....so maybe I'm gullible but to me he was and believable so I gave him the benefit of the doubt since I did get my parts, and they were pretty much as he had described and I was pleased with them.
Everyone deserves a second chance so being the guy I am, I then purchased a 71-72 grill shell from him for $125, and he said it would be shipped the next day.....that was about 3 weeks ago and still no grill shell, no refund, no communication...no nothing. Shame on me for believing in someone and giving them an opportunity to redeem themselves!! |

Yeah....my life is a little more complicated than others. This is why to me...they are just parts....I have waited almost two months for replacement parts from vendors....I knew they were good on it...so I did not waste my time tripping on it.. They came and I continued to buy from them...That is ust me though...

My suggestion, as stated in the other thread.. get your open deals finished. Clean up any messes you need to, and move on. Fraud is fraud no matter how you attempt to color it. It is not acceptable in any form. Thanks |

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
I am not going to argue with you, or troll etc.. The above statement is false. You do not know me personally at all. You do not know what obligations I have, nor do you know the hardships and illnesses we have faced. So please do not try to say you do. When in fact, you have no clue at all.

If you didn't have the grill shell in your possession, isn't that a violation of forum sell rules? Isnt that fraud too?? Eveybody has complicated lives, don't post parts for sale if you don't have time or gumption in your butt to ship them dude! Parts may be just parts to you.....but my cash isn't just money to me....it means something to me, I work hard for my $$ and dont want to be dooped out of it, my $125 is food on the table, cloths for the kids, gas in my car to travel 100 miles one way to be with my dad that just had quadruple bypass surgery yesterday. |

Dude......You've had my grill and my cash for about a month now, and I have neither.....you have not communicated with me, have not returned pm to me nor have you contacted many others who are posting here tonight from the sounds of it. If you would give folks a heads up or reply to pm's many would be much more patient, but everyone here is done with patients now!!! Your only as good as your last deal and your current selling and shipping practices combined with no communication is not any way to save grace on your dignity or reputation I think your reputation as a seller is out the window. it'll take major reconstruction to win the trust back on this board. So do whats right, settle up with your commitments....ship parts, issue refunds, square up with members somehow, someway!!! its pretty simple! |
