gashog, That is a really sweet truck. Do you have any more pics of it. I see you post one or two, but that's about it. Lets see the engine, interior, etc....

Not sure what your doing, but it ain't working. Your best bet is go to www.imagestation.com, and set up an online photo album. It's fast, easy, and best of all it's FREE....

Hey gashog, I probably have asked you this already but where did you get that grill combination? That is exactly what I want on my 1970. Also, what type of mastercylinder is that?

You have one of the nicest trucks I have seen in awhile, and by the looks of the before and after you have done an outstanding job!!

Nice truck!!

Thanks DanoDMano , Billit grill was a swap meet find, don't know what brand, but just used a 71/72 shell and mounted the 69 parking lights behind the grill in the original location. Since I did a disc brake swap I picked up a Napa replacment master cyl. for a 72 and used my 69 booster, works fine.

gashog,
Buddy I am drooling here. That is a really nice resto job. What you started with wasn't bad, but the end result is awesome. I never really appreciated a restored truck untill I owned one. Most people don't understand what it takes to make a truck new again.

Did you do all the work, or have it done? I cheated on mine, and bought one already done...

N2TRUX, thanks again, the only thing I farmed out was the transmission rebuild, It costs way to much to have work done, especially body work and paint . You can fix a lot of mistakes and not spend anywhere near the cost of having it done professionally, here's a tip to those that have not done much painting stick to solid colors (not metallics) easier to paint, touch up and color sand to remove dust without the need to clear coat. Of coarse the best way is to do like N2TRUX did, buy it done and save the work and let someone else not get back what they have into it.Im still to scared to add up my receipts.

I know exactly what you mean. There was a time when I had time, and no money. Now I have money and no time. Go figure.

At one time, I did almost all my own work too. I can't say I was capable of what you have done, but I did do a lot myself. Then I bought a business, and my wife had a baby. That was the end of my do-it-yourself days.

I still hate that I have to have someone else do it, because it does cost a ton. I finally decided if I was going to have a finished truck in this lifetime, that's the way it had to be.

You are correct about buying one already done. Although I do have a lot invested in my 77, it's nothing compared to what the person that paid for it the first time had in it...
