Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
The past several days I got my big block cleaned up and painted and picked up an entire crossmember from a '79 C20 to swap in and got it cleaned up. Got a lot of new parts coming for both prior to installing. Will do the final cleanup and paint on the crossmember after getting the parts installed.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Busy couple of days - got the front fenders all mounted with prothane bushings for the cab and up front. Cleaned up the gauges getting that ready to go back in - and cut down the rubber mounts that hold in the radiator so my new champion radiator will fit inside it without bending the bracket. Ready to put the new shroud and fan on tonight... busy boy.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Yeah man - the PB stuff definitely makes it look real good. Got the fan mounted to the shroud... shroud attached to radiator and cut the upper radiator hose. I also fabricated up a bracket and lengthened things to get the manual clutch back into operation. Need to do some grinding and clean up my welds... but I think it might work. Lastly, put some of the chrome bolts attaching the fenders to the radiator core.

Thanks man. Running 255/35 R20's - the plan is to make delmo specials out of them.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Got my C50 grille out and stripped some paint. Bowtie gets removed and the badge will be relocated to the center area. I also put some POR-15 on the back of my grille support and original grille.

I have not decided if I will do the chrome or paint. Since I have not decided on the paint for the truck yet, all options are open, . . . . BUT I GOTTA SAY THAT CHROME REALLY LOOKS GREAT. I don't wanna copy, but if it looks good, it's hard to do something less.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Holy cow that does look good! Wish I would've seen that before I ordered my normal one. I wouldn't worry about copying, what looks good, looks good! This is all I've done today. Snow day so built legos with the family. This is as close to 60-66 as I can get with what we have lol.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Resolved a couple of last minute bugs and wrapped up the Ron Francis rewire. I'm glad to have the truck back in service after most of 3 weeks down time.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Changed the oil and filter on mine. Every time I do this I cuss my long tube headers for being in the way of the filter but get over it as soon as I start the engine and listen to the exhaust. I decided to use a K&N oil filter this time because it has a 1" nut on the canister which will make removal easier on the next change.
