Re: 72 Suburban Build
That picture was taken with the FRONT drop member on it and the coils removed from the back with the frame resting on the rear end. I just put air in the bags to lift it up off of the ground. This is the new MAX height for the front with no motor or tranny in it. This was before I pulled the rear end/trailing arms out.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Sad part is I have a 24'x24' attached garage and an 18'x24' detached garage. My detached has all of my yard stuff and other projects and my attached is where I park my cars so the Suburban is outside.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Removed the POS hitch that was on it, installed the panhard bar, and trimmed the front fenders. I still need to do a little more trimming in the back and on the hood. I'm proabably going to take a day or two off. I'm getting a little burned out. The goal is to have the rear bags on, hood hinges done, front shock mounts on, and all shocks on by the end of the weekend.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Subscribed, man that's nice! I need to take a closer look at how that front cross member goes, steering and such.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Its really not bad at all. Basically if you can take the old cross member off, you won't have any problems with putting the new stuff on. The only thing that is remotely difficult is the notch in the frame for the steering but thats not even that bad. Plus he includes very good instructions that even have pretty pictures for those of us who don't know how to read

Re: 72 Suburban Build
I bought some Hedman headers for a Chevelle. I don't remember the part number, I'll have to give you that when I get home. It seemed like everything I read from others basically said to get Chevelle headers. Obviously not full length ones. I'll post pictures when I get to that point.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Yes, they are Porterbuilt. However, the website he gave you doesn't work anymore. You need to go to porterbuiltfabrication.com now. The hinges are BEAUTIFUL and the function is GREAT. It wasn't too bad putting them on. I spent a lot of time measuring everything like 10 times to make sure it was good. My only complaint is that with the gas shock option the hood doesn't open very far. I'll take some pictures later so you can see. There isn't really anything you can do about it though since there is only so much room for those shocks. It's not bad, I just thought it would open more. Now, that I think about it, I have another complaint...it doesn't align the hood for you . Its a pain in the A$% trying to align it by myself. It's pretty close right now but I need to do a little more adjusting.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Just ordered one of the Entropy radiator setups and some new pulleys. I have wanted to spend a chunk of change on nice pulleys for like 15 years now and finally pulled the trigger!!! You have no idea how excited I am!!!!!!

Re: 72 Suburban Build
I was a little worried about clearance with the radiator/fan setup I ordered. I emailed the guy back and forth a few times and for $150 more he will use 14" fans (instead of 11") and make a lower profile shroud that he says will clear anything. Plus, it looks badass!!!
