Yep. Got em. Actually the first set did too, I just didn't know what to make of em as they started out with a pic of a gas/oil sign. Thought someone was trying to sell me something. Ha.
You want me to post those pics of your beautiful El Camino here on this thread?

Re: 72 El Camino Daily Driver Project

Well, been a busy month for me. Started bodywork on my 72 El Camino. Had to replace the drivers side front fender and door skin. Soon as I got them in place started working on making the gaps look presentable. Took quite a bit of work, but it finally got close enough.
Here are a few progress pics.

Thanks AD. No, those are Dirty Dingo brackets Much nicer (thicker, straighter) than the last Kwik brackets I used.

Thanks Flashed. Slowly but surely. It does run and move back and forth under it's own power. at least it did, before I pulled the driveshaft back out.

Hoping to have it in color by 4th of July. Man can dream right?

Thanks. I was also one to never care tooo much for El Camino's. Had 8 Chevelle's and liked them way more. But then came across a decent little builder at the right time. Already had the LS & 6 speed, so, why not.

Very cool. Actually I really like the body style of yours as well. Maybe someday I'll do another one, we'll see.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I would love to have about 50 cars and trucks.
Been busy getting the El Camino ready for color.
Started shooting paint at 6:00 this morning after about an hour of prep and by 10:00 the body and doors are shot. Came out pretty dang good if I say so myself. Little dust, couple small bugs, and light orange peel. Easy cut and buff and a black vinyl top and she's gonna look sweet.
Couple before and afters from this morning.

Re: 72 El Camino Daily Driver Project

Loving that green color! Nice work so far. Keep it up.

Here's my '72 that I bought in Jan. 2016. So far added Dakota Digital VHX gauges, Rev 17" wheels, Nitto tires, UMI Performance upper and lower A arms and 1" drop springs. Added the bed cover and Bilstein shocks. Just a basic 350/350 combo.
