Man, I'd be all over that thing like white on rice if I were a tad closer.

Re: What is this stepside worth?

OK- I bought it. Had to have it towed as it is non-oped. It also is questionable of running. Got it home, realized the noisy exhaust is actually the manifold. Excuse me while I go break off the manifold bolts....

Re: What is this stepside worth?

plans-near term. Get truck running with minimum expense. son will have his licence in 3 months, he gets to drive this as-is for time being. In mean time I will start collecting parts. We would like it to be short FLEET, 350 +700R4, lowered 3 inches, PS, PB, tires+rims (17-19 inch), chrome front bumper, rollpan rear, sunk taillights, fill in side markers, Son will pick color. Probably do a frame-off this time...Time frame, two years.

I may install a Isis like system, processor controlled, solid state fuse/bus system, this truck may be one of the test vehicles. This would give him wireless remote lock, start, power windows, power seat, one button start.

Sounds like a good plan....and very interested to see the "Isis" system...modern conveniences in a cool old truck

Around here, (Southeast,) that is a $4000 truck! The ladder rack alone is worth $200 unless you want to keep it. Do NOT let it get away!

Re: What is this stepside worth?

GOt 305 V8 from 91 Camero last weekend, building this one cheap for son as apposed to last one in my 65. I will use the notched 2601 Edelbrock manifold as seen here... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=452997 .

I am trying to Craigslist a HEI 1-wire distrib and 1-wire alternator for it next, then track down cheap 700R4 to bolt to it. In mean time, getting 250 straight six back together for him to drive in mean time.

BTW- Can the Camaro 2nd gen short distrib be used in a carberated truck, or does it need computer to work? I see no vacuum advance, I presume it is electronic...Or should I continue looking for HEI tall version?

Ladder rack is going bye-bye, ASAP. It was obviously made for a SWB truck, but they bent it to fit this stepside. Comical! this thing bent up and well used...
