Two-tones are awesome, esp on the older trucks. I like where you are going with this. I hope the new house gets finished soon so you can continue full-speed with the project. I understand where you are comming from, I have a new body shop building that we are getting ready for. It will be all worth it in the end.

I just saw your post in body and paint. With base/clear you can lay out all of your colors before you clear, just give an hour or so between two-toning to be sure you don't leave any tape lines.

Here's some pictures of the latest progress. I've got all the body panels stripped to the bare metal except for the back of the cab, which I'll do when I take the bed off next week. I spent a few hours just pulling dents with my stud welder and slide hammer tyring to get it as smooth as possible before body filler. Nothing too exciting.

More pictures of; dent removal, The engine ready to pull, My little shop friend when it's not too hazardous, and a couple just because. I think I'll go pull some more dents now. And I finally got around to ordering a new mig today. Should be here next week and then the real work begins.

good looking build, especially in the aftermath.

and cheers to keeping the 250, man. it's going to be a slick, slick ride. then when you pop the hood, and people can see ground through the engine bay...really watch their jaws drop. .

Yeah, I'm kind of strange so I like to do things like spend twice as much money on a 250 to get the same power as a 350. But it will set it apart from the majority adding some extra cool factor.

I love the fact you are going with the 6. Always do things that make you stand apart.

If my truck still had the 6 in it when I got it, I wouldn't have gone with a V8. In fact the engine I will put in it is a '67 283 (sitting in my shop ready to rebuild) to replace the 305 in there now. (From a '85 buick). Call me crazy for going with a "smaller" motor and not going with a 350. But again, like you said, everyone goes with a 350 and I like being different.

The chrome cover looks awesome and so does the truck. Nice clean project to start with. Can't wait to see it finished.

That's cool. I was just playing with a two month old weimaraner at a friends house earier tonight. Those dogs are cool! My dog is smart but only about 7 months so all she does is play.

I had a little time to kill this afternoon, so I pulled the bed off the frame to start on the back of the cab. Pulled some more dents and then removed the rear window. Hopefully I'll be cutting out rust if I get time this week.

I like this truck !!
I would like to say something about the six cylinder's that most people don't think about ,,,, in my case for my personal use the six cylinder's are great , I live in a small town and these six's get great gas milelage they are good on hill's and NEVER give any trouble I can go out and hit the key on my 67 if it's 100 degree's or 20-below and she will fire right up and take me anywhere I want to go !!!
and where did you get that chrome valve cover ????

Thanks! At first I didn't like the six but it has really grown on me after driving it. Hopefully, I can make some decent power with all the performance parts I've bought for it too. I'm almost positive that this motor has never been rebuilt and it would always start right up and didn't leak a drop of oil.
The valve cover is actually from an old tractor with the chevy 250 in it.
