Interesting thread, considering that regular unleaded is hitting over $2 here in Southern Calif. Personally I drive like a grandma cause I love to piss off the A**hole behind me Just kidding, my commute to work is only 3 miles, so I'm not too conserned with my 8 mpg truck. There are many theories to improve gas milage. Anybody remember the Cadillacs with the 8-6-4 motors? Considering the poor aerodynamics of the trucks, and the heavy weight, the best one can hope for is light traffic and green lights.

JKU72, you are right about traffic lights set up for speed limit. The trick is in hitting the first traffic light just right.
I'll be in Bakersfield this weekend for the March Meet at Famoso raceway, I hear gas has hit $2 a gallon for regular out there also.
