hmmm, tough decision here. sit back & read or stir up the waters?. oh, oh, oh, I have a better idea. I will suggest Moneyguru goes with the new avatar. I personally like it. although I saw nothing wrong with the earleir one.
by the way, personal emotions are in fact very hard to determine here. I just hope everyone realises I never had nor will in the future mean any harm or post bad feelings.
just my $.02

Look at it like this...if you keep the t-shirt avatar, it's bound to offend some people and keep this bickering going. If you switch to the eagle, unless we have some al Quaeda (sp?) members on this board, I would say you'd be pretty safe, guru.

I'm sorry, but that eagle one offends me. As a Native American I take offence with the term "war paint". I also am offended that our sacred bird would be defaced with the flag of our conquerers.

The above is strickly a satire, and in no way depicts the true feeling and beliefs of the author. I was trying to be funny as a way of showing my displeasure of not being invited to the pissing match. I happen to agree with the board owner and moderator, if you want to see womens boobs, there are other sites for that, lets keep this board family oriented, weither that sounds prudish to some or not.

Small analogy:
I have a truck (the board). I let you use my truck with engine (the server). You put a bumper sticker (avatar) on my truck (server). If I like the bumper sticker (avatar). I keep it, If I don't I remove it. Again my truck, my engine, my bumper sticker the minute you put it on my truck.
On a side note. I personally don't have a problem with very many pics or avatars posted on this board, however I'm not the only member on this board, and once again, not my board. I have visited many other message boards and have been amazed at the total lack of respect shown by other boards. I LOVE THIS BOARD!!! Keep it family oriented and talk more about trucks. Remember that if we piss Josh off too much, he can shut the board down at any time. i really don't think he makes his living off this board, and at times I'm sure it is more hassle than it's worth. Everyone remembers the Political BS forum, right? Lets not have that happen to the whole board. Thanks for your hard work Josh.
BTW Moneyguru, i'm thinking about the chrome strips too, actually stainless. But I'm afraid that I use my bed too much and will screw them all up. That's the very reason I haven't restained the wood in the bed. I know the minute I do it my wife will buy a ton more plants from lowes and I will screw up the bed. I still am at a loss as to what to do myself.
Shawn

Have it flip between the two. I like the look of the stainless strips. And no worries about them rusting.

Hey Shawn, do the stainless and just pick up another pick-up truck for a workhorse. You will be glad you did, more trucks to love.

hey Don, go down to Blain's & get a universal bed mat. they are nice & thick & can be removed whenever you want to show off your bed.
Jorgensensc, very good analogy. proverbial nail on the head.
Shane, I love reading your posts. hows the striping coming? be ready in about 2 years?
hows that for changing the subject y'all

perfect avatar found

I found the perfect avatar!

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, truck junkies of all ages.
I take great pleasure in introducing you to my loving wife Jennifer.
This photo was taken in front of Niagra falls on our honeymoon, I found it while searching my photo files and realized it would be perfect.

Now to get back to truck talk, is the stainless bed trim expensive?
I also need to order bumpers soon. Picture in your minds a 67 GMC longsteo in torch red with a wood bed floor, stainless bed trim, and cragar wheels.

Yeah I'll post pictures when it's atleast in one piece again!

I've decided to strip the black paint off my bed strips. I see silver peaking out, wouldn't it be great if there were stainless steel? Is there any easy way to tell...well other than stripping them and leaving them in the rain and wait for rust...

LOL

You said neuture....
So are you thinking about, uhhhh, stripping, uhhhh.....your strips? Why would anyone paint them if they started out as stainless? Just strip and repaint them.
