The camera angle makes it look a lot closer than it really is. There is a pic of the other side on the second page, that shows you how much room there is.

It is an "Air Ride Technologies" 4 link. You can get them from different locations, shop around for the best price although I think it is basiclly the same price most everywhere .

Nice work. Makes you want to drive around with the bed off forever.

The highest you'll find is $449 directly from ART, and a few other places. The lowest I have found is $404.10 from innovativeairsuspension.com. Basically, it comes down to who offers the cheapest shipping..

All I can tell you is that I have 2 1/2 dropped spindles and 2" dropped srings in front and I had 4" dropped leaf springs in the rear and now it is about 2" lower. So maybe 4 1/2 - 5" front drop and at least 6" drop in the rear.
Just to add that The Truck drives awsome now. Still have front sway bar to install too. Those QA-1 coil overs are a dream! Even without the bed it rides nice! There are 12 way adjustables too so when I get the bed on I will give it a click or 2 and If I ever need to haul something I can adjust the springs up and the click the adjustment valve some more.
When Jr put the shocks on he could grab the frame rails and bounce the truck up and down on low setting......Give it 12 clicks and he was Jumping up and down on it and it didnt move! So I have some adjustment!

Yeah Jr, I wonder where he found this?
I have been just driving it.
But now I have a 72 Big Block that Jr will be working his magic on as soon as the temps here dip below the century mark!
Then I will probablly sell this one.
But when 'we' start the next one there will be a thread for that one too!
I will keep ya posted!

yes it did.
i will be going a four link on my 80 c-10 this winter when layoffs come.
so i was looking around last night when i remember this thread and the nice pics it had. i love your work and hope if mine turns out half as nice as that i will be happy.

im still in the air as to what to do about the front of the truck. i really would like to go with a bolt in front member but i do not really care for the prices. the stock member would work fine but im a huge perfectionist and looks mean all to me.

have either of you install a fab front. i have been reading on some work that porterbuilt has done and man he does awsome work.

I'm going with one of porterbuilt's dropmembers that use C4 components for the blue C10 I'm going to be starting on soon. I would go with his setup!!!

I wasn't aware that you could use C4 components on his dropmember.
