Re: 1969 Chevy truck crew cab
I think it would look a little more balanced with a short bed.

Re: 1969 Chevy truck crew cab
I think it would look more balanced with some 66" monster truck tires under it. Or jack it up and put one of those old style extra long campers in the bed. You want big, then go BIG!!!
Cool project, HG

Re: 1969 Chevy truck crew cab
I was thinking it was a`Burb cut down based on several ques like welded areas, the doors, but mostly the door moulding from a`Burb. The truck wasn`t built to be fancy,so why would they add rare Suburban moulding(and just to the front door?).It also seemed obvious the frame-down was a later K-model 3+3.

Re: 1969 Chevy truck crew cab
Here are some new pictures fo the progress on the truck. I have taken off the front fenders and hood to start working on them. The interior has been taken out to fix rust issues and common stuff like cab corners and rockers. I have taken out the heater to get it ready for old air install. I have not found any problems that were not expected.

Re: 1969 Chevy truck crew cab
A few more pictures of where you can see the Po modified the cab to fit over the later model frame. I also picked up a divorced transfer case yesterday that I may use with the 4L80E transmission, keeping my optios open.

Re: 1969 Chevy truck crew cab
Dug this out of the archives. Just wondering what became of this truck?
