Re: 1968 C-10 lsx conversion

ah, ok, Texas Spped and Performance is the same as S&P?

I bought some custom 3" .... "downpipes" i guess you could call them. Got them night before last on ls1tech for $32 shipped or something near that. I'm using them as deletes for my catalytic converters. Should be easier to fab up some exhaust using these guys also. I'll run with the stock 98-00 headers until i manage to find something port-tuned that will fit properly.

I'm still amazed at how well the 98-00 stock headers fit! Nice to know the aftermarket ones fit also.

Got any pics?

Hey so you wouldn't recommend those tubular engine towers? are the ECE better because I only heve the plates from classic performance http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...cks/CPLS1K.htm and I used the stock engine frame towers.

no, i WOULD recomend them they fit great, and with those plates it should bolt right together... and they look cool too

Re: 1968 C-10 lsx conversion

if you ever incounter this agian you should put about a quarter of a cup of automatic tranny fluid in each cylinder and let it sit for about 2 or three days, that should break the engine loose. if not than the engine is probably no good.

I have a question which of the two is the return and which one is the inlet I know that the single one is outlet???

Re: 1968 C-10 lsx conversion

on the two-outlet end:

small one is return (back to tank)
large one is supply (from tank to filter)

female side (single outlet end) is for the line to the fuel rail.

please, please, please read my build thread:

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=188

That post should be more than adequate help in fact, i highly recommend anyone to read that single post, it is my entire fuel system and all information anyone could ever need on how to work out what you're doing, with pictures.

I even think someone around this board if im not mistaken works there and can give like a 5 or 10% discount too.

They are from Street & performance theywere almost $600 I still needed to grind some of the tower mounts and re-inforce it from the bottom because it's not as thick but they fit great other than that and they are very well made no rough edges anywere....

Texas Speed is different from S&P. Check LS1tech, they are a sponsor and there is a link on the right.

I would love to see pics of those headers installed. Have heard s&p had them, but have not yet seen them installed. Hope they have the clearance.
