Re: What's behind your seat?

Excuse me for my ignorance since I have always had blazers, but do the bench seats tilt forward or do they it just slide forward as a complete unit ?

Darn good question. The stock seat in my 67 (long gone now) tilted forward. But the majority of the ones I've seen do not. Most of the seat covers wrap around the connecting arm, so they couldn't fold forward anyway....

My 67 seat didn't have the extra material that connected the upper seat to the lower one....

Re: What's behind your seat?

I know there is a gas tank. Other than that - no idea, I have never looked. I guess if people are finding safes and roachclips, I better take a peek.

Re: What's behind your seat?

Gas tank, X style 4 way lug wrench, qt oil, qt trans fluid, funnel, fishing rod, a bunch of leaves and crud. However I did find and take out the original owners man, protect place that looked brand new. Those are in the house now in a safe place where they wont get messed up. Especially since the Original Owner documented the exact mileage for each service and the date. If I ever get a digital camera I will post it. Pretty cool for such an old truck.

I would like to however that is A long way to ship it, very heavy. Pretty clean install (hidden). Thank You!!!!!!! I am running phoenix gold amps and high end. JVC head unit with an AUX input on the face to plug my MP3 player into. I also installed 2-4" Eclipse speakers (in stereo) in the center speaker cut out in the dash. The system ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What's behind your seat?

A gas tank of course, and under the seat is a socket set and a 4' high-lift jack

Re: What's behind your seat?

The '68 folds forward, so my Dad (RIP) made a very handy canvas thingy that ties to the back of the seat... in it is a set of jumper cables, flashlight, assorted tools, ratchet straps, bailing wire, and an occasional firearm or two.

The '71 doesnt fold forward so just a tank full of liquid gold.
