Re: 67-72 LED tail lights in stock $59

Mine came last week...Monday I think. I wanted to get them right in.

Of course on a 35 year old truck...there is an issue of rust to deal with. Mainly in the socket area. So I...

And all is good. These are truly plug and play.

Thanks Musclerodz

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I thought I'd mention that the blinkers DO NOT WORK (at least on my truck) with these LED taillights. Has anyone else had this problem?

And yeah I am just now getting to installing them....parenthood is a real drain on the free time

You most likely have a ground issue. I had a similar problem.

See this thread...

Thanks for the tip. I actually had a very similar problem with my front signals last year, and I had to replace the housings there. The rear housings look pretty good though, I don't see any corrosion and all my signals/flashers worked before I swapped out to the LED taillights.

Maybe I'll just try the replacement flasher first to see if that fixes things. It should be cheaper than new rear housings.

Re: 67-72 LED tail lights in stock $59

You need an electronic flasher to replace your mechanical flasher. You will also need one for the hazards. We have had a few trucks require these with just the tail lights, but most did not. You can get them at your local auto parts store. If they don't have them, we stock them.

The LED's don't draw enough amperage for the mechanical flasher to sense the light so it just thinks a light is out. The electronic flasher uses voltage so when you activate the circuit, it automatically flashes.

Hmm, I thought these taillights had that voltage draw built in? Anyway, if you know the part numbers of the flashers and whether they're available at Napa, I'd appreciate it.

Mechanical flashers are thermally operated which means the wire has to build heat to work which is something you don't want to do. NAPA should have them, I don;t have their part number though.

Replaced my flashers today with electric units from Napa, and they did the trick! Thanks everyone.
