Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words. I just thought I'd chime in here and say a little. The c-notch is a weld in, and the clecos are holding a bellypan. The hood has not been modified on the topside other than the chevrolet letters being shaved. I'm glad you guys like what we're doing here in Arkansas.

Thats what custom is all about, its what pleases you.
For me though, if it doesnt function then its not for me.
I will say this though, the thing that makes these trucks so popular is they were so cool to begin with, so if you want your custom to retain its coolness... you dont want to 'guild the lilly'. Its pretty easy to tell when some of these trucks were constructed based on the "whats cool" at the time. ...Pro Street... Southwest colors... Pro Toring... but a good basic ride will always look cool... Always!

First off I love the truck and I think the newer trends are kool as this is IMO another door open to keeping the hobby alive. So let's give a nod to this truck for what it is a creative expression that a truck guy has put allot of hard work and thought into, & not to forget ($$$.) .... look's great!!!

* Now I'm old school but thats me and I like a more simple aproach to hot rodding. I like a static drop, primer & chrome, 15's on big & small's, a slight rake, a shaved body and a poor boy look. Am I going to let this get in the way of apreciating the other side of the hobby as we see here. NO WAY!

IMHO the hobby in allot of way's has become an art form and as various forms of art it is to be appreciated, not maybe what I would lay the buck's out for but the viewing is free and this I like.

Hey David,
The wheels you asked about are rollers that we built so we didn't scratch up the real wheels during fabrication but they also allow us to check for the correct wheel/tire size. We started with empty hoops and had a local waterjet company cut out the centers. Then we just spot weld the centers at the backspacing we need for the project to confirm tire size and backspacing before ordering the high dollar wheels. For tires we just check with local tire shops to get a variety of used big inch tires when they come available. The bonus is they look *****in while the truck is in process.

We are going to machine some new tail lights out of billet. They'll resemble the stock ones but just have a more modern flavor. Hopefully we'll have this completed soon so I can post more photos.

I have really been slcking in this area but I think I have my website issues resolved so I should be able to put more pics on our website next week.

Im definatly the odd ball of the group! I love highly modified cars & trucks. Big & little wheels are cool too. My problem is, I dig the heck out of this style right up until its painted. The green & black project look does it for me, gives it character. As soon as the red paint goes on, it just looks like all the others. Sweet project...
