With that said, I think it would look awesome with just chrome hoops and headlight covers/buckets (whatever you call 'em), NO hood letters, clear turn signals, no bowtie, and the fog light bumper with shaved bolts (but the rechrome would probaby be way too $$$). I'm sure whatever Frizzle has in mind will be sweet

i voted for number 4 but i think you should shave the bumper bolts since you did all that work to the hatch making it smoothe

Re: 67 Grille Ideas --Please Vote--
Thanks guys. I probably should have said more about the direction I'm taking the truck, but I was more interested in simply which combo looks best.
I'm not going for a totally smoothed/shaven look nor obviously stock. In fact I plan to run the 69-72 side trim (upper and lower) with the 68 front clip and two tone paint. The best way to describe the theme of the truck is "it could have been factory" as it applies to the body; engine/wheels/suspension/interior are another story. The 115" wheelbase could have... The hidden hatch hinges could have... The truck tail lights could have... The one-piece liftgate could have... And those front-end combos could have (though the fog lights are pushing it). But, I just want to know which of those front-ends looks best as a stand-alone. You can vote for more that one so pick your favorite and the one you think works with the theme if you want. For those who might be interested, I'm still trying to decide between 4,5, and 6. |

Re: 67 Grille Ideas --Please Vote--
Either #4 or #5 for me (I voted #5). I like the clean look with the turn signals in the headlights. I think it would be really sweet to smooth the bolts on the bumpers, lets see if we can find a place locally to chrome them...

Re: 67 Grille Ideas --Please Vote--
I voted ' other' ,..
here's what i did...( just painted lower bumper & hardwired the park lights to the ignition...& trophied at the first car show ! ) second is a design I'm producing ( image area is 11 x 14"' on Hanes BEEFY-T 100% cotton T shirts ) ps. back to the bumper, I may go ahead and just use a 67 Camaro rear bumper over a custom roll pan... stay tuned..

If I can find a place to get it chromed without having to sell a kidney I'll do one of these and smooth the rear bumper to match:

Re: 67 Grille Ideas --Please Vote--
I like the idea of shaving the bumper bolts but look at the '69-'70 Camaro front end with the lower running lights. They are slightly larger and a little closer in. Just a thought since I know you are going to autoX it again...might give a little more of the sports car look. My vote...bowtie in grill and fog lamps in the bumper wiht bumper bolts and letters shaved.

Voted #4. I'm running the signals in the lights but kept the bowtie & hood letters. I really like my grille without the signals in it.
