Oh, I seriously got a sick feeling in my stomach when I just saw that. Dude, I do not even know what to tell you. Kind of like losing a loved one if you ask me. Truck is TOO nice, please don't skimp on the repair. If the lower half of the cab is nice, just put a roof on it from a skilled shop, it the bottom is bad go with the full swap.

Sorry to hear about your truck. I'll bet that if you asked, you would have a 100 board members at your front door in the morning, ready to rip that old cab off and get the truck back rolling. Insurance companies are there to just take your money, and then cover nothing in the time of need.

Re: Honey, the just tree fell on your new truck...

I think there is a very good condition (near perfect) cab for sale in the Sacramento Craigslist for $500. It has no rust and has all the AC holes, etc. Here's a link.

Sorry about your horrible loss, by the way.

Thats it. In soldarity and protest i'm not going to recycle a single sheet of paper for the rest of the year. It all goes in the garbage baby!! That'll teach those trees not to FU@@ with our trucks. With all those damn Fords out there.

When you said "new truck," I thought you meant a newer (late model) truck.... no big loss.

But that sucks. I hate if for you.....

......You mean Ferd right?!?!?!?

That would make a grown man that never shows emotions cry in Public!
As the germans say: Absolut Scheisse!
Hope you can get it repaired. Good Luck!
German insurance companies are just the same. They are always nice and friendly as long as you keep paying. They make a 180° turn as soon as you want to claim something.

Re: Honey, the just tree fell on your new truck...

Oh man, what a shame. Neither your homeowners or auto ins comps will lift a finger to help ya out on this?
No vehicle clause huh?
So what if that tree had fallen on some family passing by?
Similar deal happened to my grandmother. Her water heater was located in the attick and ruptured wile she was away. Ruined the ceiling and floors in the home. The insurance agent said "i'm sorry but your homeowners policy doesn't cover such an event". After paying premiums for a lot of years with not one claim there was no help whatsoever. They carried the policy on all her properties, vehicles, etc. and my dad's and mine. We fired them! It was State Farm.
I am truly sorry to hear of your situation and see that even though you are fairly new here there are numerous members willing to step up and help you get it fixed. I wish you good luck from here on out.

my heart feels more crushed than your cab right now... that is such a shame to see a classic vehicle survive all these years, only to be randomly sqwushed by a freak accident.
