Re: Price quote on Sandblasting your frame???

You would think that a sandblasting business would have an extra air compressor or something. I know if my equipment broke down, it better be fixed in two hours or a new one better be on the way. Sounds like a very unorganized operation in the maintainance program in addition to customer relations.

Your hockey league has a team called "Dead skin mask" (lyric from a old Slayer song) and also "Irrational Mentality" ? talk about aggressive

Send 5 people from "Dead Skin Mask" over there to help you iron this out -- laughs

Re: Price quote on Sandblasting your frame???

Hockey is extremely aggressive at any level..I have friends that play on Irrational Mentality. I didn't need them though, lol!

So Got my frame back it is what has to be called white metal, it was hard to photograph. When I go there he says "You only owe $250.00" So he did meet me in the middle. I am happy, but sure don't feel like I am going to change the way I do business and employ his ways! And I will NEVER go to him again, NEVER.

Glad things worked out for you. We just had a 68 cab, 6 one ton wheels and an old David Bradley hood done. $390. This guy has been in business for a long time and knows how to not damage the metal.

Re: Price quote on Sandblasting your frame???

My sandblast guy charges by the hour. Always. Never a price quote.

When his compressor broke, he called me and told me about it. I rented one (65.00/day) and took it to him. My frame was still done that day.

I love my blast guy!

I'm glad you got your frame back and are happy with how it came out. Still sucks about the price gouge though. So what blasting company is this anyway?

Glad to here you got your frame back what a deal huh looks pretty good next time it might be worth the time to sand it down with a flap disc instead of dealing with jerk offs like this. Good luck with the project, are you powder coating, painting, or throwing some gatorhyde on it

Re: Price quote on Sandblasting your frame???

Glad to see you got your frame back, at least after all the headache and the extra $$$ it came back in satisfactory condition. If any one is looking for a blaster in the Portland, OR. area, I can recommmend a stand up company off 114th & S.E. Foster Rd. They charge $200 - $250 for a frame and suspension apart pending how crusty/greasy it is, they have always charged me whatever I was told at drop off time. Cb
