well im going to get some more stuff fot my truck tomorrow like dynomat, carpet, stuff for my AC pretty much every thing i need to finish up the cab. and me or my dad still havent looked at that wiring yet but i guy my dad knows went to itt tech and he has wiried up a few cars including his jeep.......which caught on fire about a month after he wired it due to eletrical problems

well me and my dad just got back from classic chevy of charlotte and we got wayyyy more parts than expected......we said we was only goin to spend 500 but ended up spening 650 for carpet, outer doorhandles, window ruber kit, front bumper, all of the ac hoses and defrost hoses, air vents, dash pad, glove box insert, ignition swich, igniton, door locks ect.. pretty much EVRERYTHING to finish the cab up exept dynomat.

well scence no one if giving me feed back i feel like im doing a crappy job on this thing by not moving foward. so i went out side last nite and put some stuff on it and test fitted the window rubber and everything else. i think the carpet looks pretty good..and the dash pad
what do ya think? |

well my dad had to work late today so i got bored and went out and put the igntion and switch in.does any one know how to tighten the cover because its not very tight but as tight as i could get it by hand?
and the carpet is starting to lay better. |

lmc or brothers carry a three pronged tool that fits on a ratchet to tighten the ignition plate. i think its like 8 bucks.

no i dont know that but i will try to find out for ya.
not really much getting done today but getting some stuff of the front and back bumper, but hopefully that will change because i dident feel like going to school today and im out tomorrow and monday. dads sopposed to go by napa today and get the brake booster and stuff today so maybe i will have the brake lines hooked up by tomorrow? |

thanks cstm68 i like what you done with the custom concol.
well me and the old man went and got a radio for it and were still deciding on where to put speakers. so i think were going to cut the dash today and try to get it to fit. |

well still havent done anything exept go get a brake booster and thought about putting it on tonight but that dident happen still havent got the dash cut but i THINK it will happen this week. i dont think its going to get done by janurary |

well today we got the brackets and the brake booster on...temporary until we paint the bed then we are going to take it back off and paint it.

ok so i got bored today and saw that the glovebox door was gettin scrached up just sittin there so i found a few screws and put it on so it wouldent get scrached anymore
and i just found out that my dad has all next week off then he has to work acouple days after that then he is off the rest of the year...so maybe it will get done by janurary after all?? |

nope i wish it was a matter of putting it all back together
we havernt even started body work on the bed or anything on the front. but MAYBE this time next week the bed will be in primer and ready to paint |

Great build thread and dont worry aboth that painless kits the directions are easy and if I remember right the only problems I had were the half moon connector on the column..

well today after i got home from school i had to go help put on body parts to a 67 mustang...so after that we got to workin on my truck and we thought we had the break lines right but we dident.
we did manage to get the door henges put on and lined up. maybe tomorrow the breaklines will be done??? |

ok so today was a good day..parts wise. we got a radatior and lights for the front and back bumpers, stuff for the steering colum(i even got a billet handles and knobs for free). and more parts to start the motor. so maybe she will be fired up by next week..or the next...or next month
here she is as of now. |

Great looking truck! i love the color, it's the same color im laying on one of my 66 mustangs, we have two and i painted the other one dodge viper blue, it's a beautiful color too, keep up the good work!

ok today we dident get as much as i wanted to but thats ok its thanksgiving
we put the weatherstripping on both doors...it dident take long at all to do it, it just took forever to take all the tape off. there are still a few spots that did not stick very good but that can be fixed |

Your truck is lookin good. I wouldnt cut the dash for a cd player youll regret it. id hang it under the dash or something. Thats just my opinion though. Definatly dig'n the red though great choice.
