Re: front coilovers
I love the ride height...but do you have any concerns with crossmember being so low? Looks like less than 2" of clearance.

Re: front coilovers
Tony, Do you have an idea when this will be avail.? I was one of the first Speedtech/Ridetech combo customers for my 69 camaro and love the setup! I've been on the fence about what front setup I wanted for my 67 & I think I found it!

I strongly dislike you guys sometimes! Anyways, looking forward to seeing how you handle the coilover conversion.

Re: front coilovers
Am I correct in thinking this shock is 11.130 fully extended and 8.625 fully compressed? Is bottoming out the shock or solid stacking a spring a concern with 2.5 inches of travel?

Re: front coilovers
Got the truck up to driving condition so heres a update. All seems to work well although the current spring rate is still too light. I'm running 8" 800# springs and they are compressed 3/4 of the way at ride height so I sources some 7" 1300# springs, gonna give that a try. According to the math I need 1500# spring but they are a custom spring so I'm gonna try the 1300# ones.

Re: front coilovers
Build is looking awesome! Why the change in springs? Porterbuilt is using a 650#, I think, on his setup. Stock coils are around 900-1200, depending.

Re: front coilovers
Beautiful work.
I would like to add coil overs to the front of my truck without having to change the entire front member. Your truck is really coming along nicely. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: front coilovers
Hey Rob, I don't think it'll be ready by then, Ive been working nearly every spare moment on the paint but its taken the last 3 weekends just to get the tailgate done and I still have to do both both bedsides and the inner fender wells. Regardless, I might like to go just to watch, whats the event all about? I went to the AMP website but there is no info for september up yet. BTW, I work at the county garage just a couple miles from your shop, Ill have to stop by and say hi.

Re: front coilovers
Gringoloco, the issue is where on the lower control arm I mounted the lower mounts. Hindsight is 20/20 and knowing what I know now I most likely would have moved the mounts closer to the ball joint to allow me to use a more readily available spring rate.
