That's come a long way! It's going to look great with the blue and white top.

Man this thing isn't looking good, it is looking damned outstanding! I am thoroughly impressed. I really like where you are going with the truck.

Re: Addicted to Chevrolets ( bought a C30 )
Thanks for all the positive comments guys! There is nothing better than getting comments/suggestions to get me in the mood to work on it some more! I forgot to mention I did get the flat deck extended and tapered in towards the cab at the front. You can kind of see how it looks in the pictures showing the truck in primer. I have been working on painting the exterior lately. Hopefully I can get some pictures of it painted in the next couple days! I sure hope it will be tuff as nails! I think the only thing it is missing now is a Cummins conversion!!!

Re: Addicted to Chevrolets ( bought a C30 )
Got it all painted! instead of just spraying the top white like I had planed I used rocker guard. It is the same stuff I sprayed the interior with and really liked how it turned out. This product is also paintable, so I could always paint the roof white later on. I couldn't help but take it outside and see how it looked outdoors, the black roof is growin' on me!! Here are some pictures!

Truck looks sweet!
What is the "Rocker Guard" product you are using? Looks good on the roof too. Kind of gives it a vinyl top look. |

I'm surprised that your buddy had room with those seats.. That was my concern when I chose to go with buddy buckets since i'm 6'3". I have those seats in my 05 tahoe.. they are kinda like "modern buddy buckets:

Re: Addicted to Chevrolets ( bought a C30 )
Lol Yes a ton of updates. It's now 36" shorter, modified an 8' box to cover the duals. Built a custom rear bumper from 3/16 plate, and modified the front bumper to match. Then got rid of the th400 and put a nv4500 5speed.. new driveshafts, 208 transfercase, and new flowmaster 50series dual exhaust! Here are some pictures. I really need to get back on this forum!

Re: Addicted to Chevrolets ( bought a C30 )
Sweet! The only recommendation I have is to replace that NP208. It's an aluminum transfer case made for 1/2 tons and you have it in a 1 ton. If I were you I would get an NP203 or NP205 because they were made for 3/4 and 1 tons. Just my two cents.

Re: Addicted to Chevrolets ( bought a C30 )
Few pictures of how it came along, I have the tailgate on now, and a boxliner. Pretty much done with this project and already started another one! 71 k20, finished all the rust repair and is now in epoxy primer, waiting for christmas holidays to lay down some paint!

Re: Addicted to Chevrolets ( bought a C30 )
Thats the plan if i can find a np205 for a decent price. The guy just gave me this 208 with the nv4500 so i figured I would through it in haha.

Well sir. It looks to me like you have one hell of a truck. Now she needs a Cummins or Duramax! Props to you for making the world a much more beautiful and smogier place!
