I don't know...
The truck was set-up for Vintage Air so the heater thing is a no-brainer & the wipers are just a painted cowl-vent away. If the new owner can afford the sale price, I'm willing to bet they can get those two items remedied & enjoy the truck this upcoming show season.

Obviously this truck wasn't built to be the sole source of transportation or drive cross country for the guy. It was a project that even if he didn't do all (or any) of the work, he helped guide those that did/could to complete his vision (even if it did require some persuasion from the builders).

It's a nice truck period & I hope he's happy about the sale. Can a truck be built as nice for less? Sure.

But . . .... How many of us have accomplished this goal??

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Sold for $55,000

The real bottom dollar is $106,000 that's what he got for the truck, trailer and tow rig. It's going to Nebraska next week to the new owner. He also sold his very nice matching 66 Nova for around 35K last month and he's done all this to get his new company off the ground. Yes it is true that he doesn't use spell checker but he sure knows how to make the $$.

Do you know him? Does he make the money or was it an inheritance? He is obviously very innovative, even if he didn't build it.
What is his new company?

Man that truck truly does look super nice, what a price, but probably worth it considering the workmanship

Yes, n2billet knows him very well. He has had his hands all over the truck, so he knows the truck too.

I just wish more people on this forum would take the same advice they are offering about using spell check.....

Re: Sold for $55,000

I spent some time talking with the owner @ Goodguys Columbus and have a number of up close photos.
The truck was built to sell. This guy builds them with the goal of taking home the top prize and finding a sugar daddy that wants to spend a ton of dough so he can hang some trophies in his million dollar garage.
This is not the owners 1st go around doing this.
He came in Top 10 in the nation, and lost his butt selling this truck.
No different than the stock market sometimes you win sometimes you lose, the fun is in the chase.
120K I believe was the build cost.
