Re: My Big problem..need your help (long)

okay everyone....I pulled the heads off my vehicle last night. The pistons are slightly domed. Now I bought some closed chamber heads (215's) to fix the compression problems and wanted to know...Will closed chamber heads fit on the motor with domed pistons??

Re: My Big problem..need your help (long)

Not to sound like an ass but I would seriously find someone who knows BBC's to come and help you out. Just "bolting" on parts is easy, bolting on the right parts, that work together takes experience.

You want an answer but there are many variblies that will come into play. Pistion pin centerline, valve size, cam lift, rocker ratios, etc., etc., etc. All of these have to work together and you have to KNOW what you have, not GUESS at what you have.

Before you hurt the engine, find some help. My .02 worth. Good luck.

BTW, be careful with the compression ratio, BBC don't like it too high without pinging.

We were given two ears and one mouth for a reason... listen twice as much and speak half as often...
