Noon saturday in front of the collusium? Noon friday? Suggestions? What say you Bill? I think last year we met in front of Kenny's (vendor)trailer. There will be several La. members there.

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
They are all from the Hardy Court Shopping Center on Courthouse Road in Gulfport. The main setup area is right behind the Choice Supermarket. Around 3ish they head out for Jones Park for the nighttime activities. I had a sword battle with my son, so I didn't attend that event.

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
We're almost ready to go. Got my Blazer all cleaned up this weekend & it's sitting under the shed waiting to be put on the trailer. (Yeah we're trailering it there, cause its old & tired and a 4yr old can't take that much wind & no DVD for a long trip!) I can't wait, as said earlier, we'll be leaving out Thursday morning.
What about meeting Friday in the parking lot of Coliseum? I want to look at y'alls trucks while we tallk

I am heading down Friday in the white truck, as long as it does not rain. (still no windshield wipers.) Hopefully next year I will be towing the white truck down with the green truck. I look forward to meeting up and catching up with you guys then and Saturday morning at the Colliseum near Kenny's.

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
I just uploaded some more pictures from my roamins today.
Four you dial up guys, there is over 700 shots so far. The guess was about 2,000 cars today at the gather I was at. My poor camera got tired., maybe breathed it's last. Luckily the new one came in today, so I'll be ready for tomorrow's action at the swap meet. Enjoy the shots http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...ry.php?cat=721

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
I went to the swapmeet late today. It was nearly closed down for the day.
I had to have a new coolant recovery bottle---mine sprang a leak today! And yesterday,my speedometer quit. The gear in the trans was stripped.Got one from another and fixed it.It's a real pain to do to a t-400. And my 68 turned over 69,000 miles today! If anyones interested, there's a 68 3/4 ton 4x4 for sale in Biloxi.Long bed-fleet.Granny trans.1 to 10 scale it's about a 6.Lots of others too! I also took a lot of pictures. Mike. |

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
lets tell everyone the truth before they get hear...
HWY 90 IS A FREAKIN MESS. IT IS NO WERE NEAR DONE. STAY AWAY FROM IT AT ALL TIMES. whom ever put on CTC's site that 90 was "almost complete" is a moron. this place is a consruction site. just be aware of this. i got here this morning and traffic is a mess. and there is no sitting on the side of the road and watching cars right now. they have busted up all the old parking lots and leveled everything out to make room for new projects. the good thing is that there are a couple of new gas stations and stores on 90 now. if i would have know there was this much going on , i would have skipped this year and gone to EMERALD COAST CRUIZIN in panama city in november. most of 90 is ONE LANE!!!! RIGHT NOW, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
We just got in last night. It was lots to see there. I'll load pics Tuesday from work, as my computer here at home takes to long.
Your right about Hwy 90, traffic was horrible. We finally gave up on the cruisin part & just found a spot to park & walked. But overall it was cool! I saw lots of trucks and several lowered Blazers However I really liked the Impala wagons & 59 to early 60 Cadillacs too...those would be sweet Sunday cruisin cars!

I stayed in Gulf Haven campground. Man I wish I had not waited so long between visits to the site. I have a 55 but we were in my teenagers short Ranger project. I meet fun in dirt and had no idea she was on this board and several other I visit. I think Krue passed me on Sims road going home Sunday. That's what made me think about getting on the site again.

I remember that little truck. I believe you met Chris "Bowtie468" also, he's the one that pointed your son's truck out to me.

From Breaux Bridge, has a little dog. I always make a round at the campgrounds to see who has LA license plates. That's so I will know where the good food is.
