Re: How “Addicted” are you to the site???

I’m retired now, my wife works odd hours and I rarely sleep so I have way too much time on my hands. I like to be helpful where I can, learn something new every day, and enjoy myself. Apparently this site provides an abundance of all three. If there’s anything interesting going on I’m routinely in the 20+ hour group. By comparison, time spent in other related forums is probably less than an hour a week total. I frequently refer to this site as the best on the web, and it's not to be flattering. If it wasn't I'd be spending my time somewhere else.

Re: How “Addicted” are you to the site???

Almost every day from fall to late spring , get busy when summer comes around here so I guess on a average I get on over 300 days a year ..Our summer is not much over 2 months ..I am retired too.. When it rains I stay on longer or check in more .sounds like an excuse doesn't it.

I dont care ,,, I like all you people / the pictures of trucks /how to fix yours/how to fix mine and all the other stuff.. ,,,LOL gp

Jon you may not post as much, nor do I. Its funny though over the years, how some folks are pretty much a fixture. We many not interact a ton, but it would be weird if you were not here, if ya know what I mean.

Looking back on this post its fun seeing how things change. Some are here more, some less, and one has left us for good RIP Dave. What doesn't change is through it all, the good and the bad, we are still a strong community and friends.

This site = "Truckbook" for me!

Re: How “Addicted” are you to the site???

I used to just lurk on here when a thread came up in google searches for info on my truck, then I met 56extd at a car show and he said I should check out the site. So for the first year or so I would just get on here randomly once or twice a month, but I started getting on more and more and now I'm addicted. I get on here any chance I get and have learned a bunch (and hope I taught some of the newer guys some too). My wife used to get on myspace all the time and I made fun of her for it, the other night I was on here and she walked past and said, 'you know that is the myspace of trucks right'. So now she makes fun of me for being a truck nerd.

Re: How “Addicted” are you to the site???

I dont think I am addicted , but then I am not trying to quit!!
I check in every day after work usually after looking at craigslist and before I check my items for sale on E-bay.
A lot more time is spent here in the winter when it too cold and miserable to do anything else.
I search a lot for ideas here before I try something new or out of the ordinary cuz somebody here has probably tried it .
