Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

I guess I should have said the camaro won Hot Rod mags drag week in 07 running about a thousand miles on the road and running an average of 7.80 at over 180MPH at all 5 tracks that you had to drive to. Fastest being a 7.64
Scary Fast I get Goosebumps thinking about it.

Like most guys on here, I knew what it had done before you said anything about it. Some people will dog it because it's a mega-$$$ car, but I say let 'em. It's a seriously impressive acheivement and a totally killer ride.

And oh yeah, the shop truck is pretty sweet too!

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

What is the black coating on the exhaust pipes in this picture:

Do you have more pics of the bed structure that I see a little bit of in this pic:

Nice stuff BTW!

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

We got so much crap over that car, its amazing to me that your in the unlimited class and people still complain or talk crap on it. I'm just happy it did what we set out to do and stayed together along the way! I'll post a few action photos.
I'll look to see what I have as far as bed structure photos on the truck too.
The coating on the exhaust is a black texture powdercoat. We do silver ceramic first and then black texture over it. We do it that way because the hi temp black doesn't have any corrosion resistance.

Hope that helps

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for.

So the black topcoat on the exhaust is powdercoat. I know you said you do silver ceramic first, but is the black also ceramic?

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

You need to come up with some "adjustable" bumper brackets for c-10addict, so THE MAN will stop messing with him about his truck being too low!!!

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

Oh yeah, you won't hear any flak from me on the camaro....that thing is bad-ass. I remember it in 06 with the roots blower poking up thru....but things didn't line up to take that rain soaked trip.
Steve Roth and the co-pilot (can't remember his name) were cool dudes you could shoot the **** with, and Denny and his dad are first class guys too. I don't believe anyone on that trip for the week thought badly of the car...regardless of what **** you've taken for it.

I was mistaken and thought Denny worked there at ProRides..sorry about that.

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

sorry for the thread hi-jack...
the convert just has a 500 caddy bored +030...good forged stuff on a stock crank, and a 250hp plate to help it along.
On street tires has run tire spinning low 13's at 109. I haven't really raced it much as it don't hook. I have a vid I need to upload to youtube now that I think about it....

9" rear and some slicks will help that, but I'm busting on my C10 to get it done first.

I didn't use either on this truck. I'll see when I'm at the shop later if I have more pics of the underside of the truck. What kind of brackets do you have?
