Re: Got it Finished.
Sweet looking truck, real sweet. Like yourself and Igore, I like the"sort" of stock wheels. Mine came off my sons 89 2500. Mine is 4 WD though so I had to cut out the hub caps so the 4 WD hub was accessable. Mine is almost done now, just waiting for some money and warm weather. Sorry the pics aren't better. Every time I go to take some it snows!!! We have almost 4 feet on the ground now danm it all. I hate winter. I have got to get me some of those seats. 91 suburban you say? Any other years have the console also??

The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose. |

Re: Got it Finished.
Thanks fellas!
James mcclure: I saw your thread about your paint, I wish I could see it in person, in the sun they are from a '91, I'm not sure which years that particular console was available, I'm thinking mid 80's to 91? All of them with buckets will have a console, the older ones are good, just a bit different style. |

Re: Got it Finished.
78, I'll have to get you some pics in the sun this summer. Hopefully the running board\belly pan setup will be done and the winch mounted up under the bed out back to pull stuff up on the trailer or pull trees down I have to cut up for firewood. Thanks for the seat info. jim

Re: Got it Finished.
Got some pics last week after I cleaned the truck up real good. I also took off the toolbox and it will stay off until I need it again. I like how it looks better without it. I had not seen it without the toolbox yet since it had it on there when I got it back from the body shop.

Re: Got it Finished.
Got new shoes today. Goodyear Wrangler TD's 265/75/16. The other tires turned out to be ovals instead of circles...lol
Despite the tread pattern, they are REAL quiet, ride good too. |

Re: Got it Finished.
I repainted the Grille and headlight buckets black, and I got the CHEVROLET on the tailgate band Painted black also since it didn't show up at all painted gold, even up close!

Thank you for the compliments guys!
Figured I'd add this to my thread... My daughter Destiny got to drive her first vehicle bigger than a golf cart today. The golf cart paid off getting her good at driving. She didnt scare me once. Shes only 11! I'm so proud of her! The vids: |

Re: Got it Finished.
I like the latest mods, it's looking sharp!
I know some fully grown women that don't drive near as good as your daughter does! You taught her well!

Definitely a keeper. Really, it is equal to a new one. Nice color combination and it all looks perfect!

Re: Got it Finished.
Another Impulse buy today that I'm quite happy with...
Bought a Thrush Welded 2.5" chambered muffler. PN 17656 Got tired of the old quiet dynomax, it sounded good but too quiet. I'm liking this one a lot though The new sound Super Short Driveby |

Re: Got it Finished.
Thanks guys
Not yet, It's about to get cold here so I wanna do all the little stuff I have to do myself before it gets cold. when I have the tires put on I can watch them do it for me from the warmth of the waiting room I've put on a solenoid, fixed my kick-down switch, redone the brakes and painted them, re-tuned the truck for cooler weather, unsiezed my advance weights and upgraded to a bigger alternator as well as the muffler. I still need to get some new rear springs and the disc brake conversion for the rear. i dont think I'm going to do that before the tires though. I think I've gotten all the little annoyances done to where I can focus on the tires now. The new muffler will pacify me for a little while I've been 2 weeks away from the tires for a month and a half now. It's gonna happen, just don't know when yet |
