Good looking project! I like the new cover. Too bad it is spelled wrong. JUST MESSING WITH YOU! Good to see a truck come so far in the right direction. Can't wait to see it in person!

Re: Project C10
Ok guys, small update for you, I ordered D2600 bags and upper plates for the front yesterday (thanks to the sale at Suicide Doors) So I hope to get front bagged very soon. I will post up some pics when I tear into that.

Re: Project C10
Alright, sorry it has been awhile, I finally took a day off of work today to make some headway on the truck. I swapped out my radiator for a new one (original one split on the end tank (plastic junk) and had to go), so I also put my water pump cover since I had to drain the coolant anyway and here's the pics...
I also started on the swap to front air bags using the D2600's and upper plates I purchased from Suicide Doors. Sorry for the poor pics, I only had my phone. What do you guys think?

Re: Project C10
Here are some more progress pics of the front air bag install, I have 3" drop DJM arms, so I had to modify them to accept the bags and remove the front sway bar for now. I will have to fab up so new mounts for the bar to go back on.
Enjoy, sorry for the quality

Re: Project C10
Well I havent had any time to work on the C10 lately, I spent the last few weekends working on my K10 and havent got back to the 72' I plan on getting a few little nagging oil leaks cleared up (damn LT1 LOL) I still need to get some air tanks, gauges and paddle valve switches so I can have control of the bags too.

Re: Project C10
Sorry it has been a long time with no updates, I had been trying to buy a house and finally ended up moving into my parents first house (was their rental property) I have spent the last month or so moving, cleaning it up and trying to get the garage organized so I can wrench on the truck(s) again.
Ok enough rambling, here are the pics of the garage after some cleaning up, but I will have to get pics of the current condition this weekend, I built a workbench and finished cleaning out the addition on the side (which is for my dirtbike to live) This side is all cleaned out now and has my dirtbike in it. This corner of the garage now has a built in work bench and peg board up to the ceiling... And finally, I installed my ECE hidden receiver hitch on the 67' so I could pull a trailer (to move with)

Re: Project C10
Small Update:
I scored some used 255/55/18" Bridgestone's on E-Bay today for the 72', so I will soon be painting my current wheels and putting on these tires until I get the truck set up to run 20/20's or 20/22's.

Re: Project C10
I received the tires the other day, loaded them up in my Neon (dont ask ), picked up the truck and had my tires put on. What do you guys think? I like it better this way, but am getting mixed opinions, I had this size tire on it before my "monster" tires... I think I just need more drop

Re: Project C10
Update: Now that I have mostly settled into my new place I decided to get to work on the C10. I am going to be attending the local meet with board members on July 10th and need to get a lot done before then. I have wanted to paint the truck a "flat" blue for awhile now, so last night I started an experiment to fulfill this. I started with the front half of the drivers bed side to decide if I liked the look or not.... What do you guys think?
Sanding in progress... Priming.... 2 coats of color, no wet sand yet... the paint is a "low-sheen" Oxford Blue

Re: Project C10
I have decided that blue is too light for my taste, I picked up some regular gloss Navy blue the other day and will try that next. Also I ordered my trans cooler, airtank and variuos misc fittings, fuel line, etc to replumb my fuel pump inlet/outlet. I am also getting ready to order all my interior parts and some tubing/couplers to finish my cold-air intake. I will post up pics as things progress along in the next few weeks...

Re: Project C10
I used a "wiring for dummies" diagram that I got off of a Camaro forum (I can send it to you if you want) I deleted the wiring for the smog pump, A/C, EGR, rear O2's (I used the earlier Camaro headers for single cat, so these are not needed) etc. The diagram shows which exact wires I deleted by color and pin location on the connectors. I pretty much tried to eliminate any circuit that was not needed for my application. I did use both of the factory fuseblocks (under hood and under dash) and left "open" switched and constant power circuits for any future expansion (like power windows/door locks/etc)

Re: Project C10
Alright, as many of you know, I am trying to get my truck more "show-worthy" for the member meet/car show in July.... So I have been ordering parts and wrenching like crazy to meet this goal. The last two weeks or so I have been blowing everything apart, and trying to accomplish so head way. Here are some pics of the carnage at work in my garage....
Remounted my air compressor (1st mount was too flimsy and the compressor was mounted upside down) Now Im waiting on the air tank I ordered to finish up the install, then just need to wire up the relay/pressure switch and test it. Next I remade my fuel pump mount, rewired it and replumbed it (I didnt like the previous mount or AN braided lines) I also made a "shield" for the system this time to help cut down on damage from flying tire debris and what not. Dont know if it will do any good, but I had the aluminum, so what the heck. My next mission was to install an auxiliary transmission cooler for my 700R4, so I ordered a Super Cooler, the necessary AN fittings and some 3/8" aluminum line. I made some mounting brackets (still need to be painted) and used my existing return line from the radiator the inlet of the cooler, then made a new line to go from the cooler back to the radiator (whew)

Re: Project C10
Next I moved on to making a more effective intake system for the LT1 (previously the filter was just mounted to the MAF itself) I ordered a 4" 45* silicone elbow and used a piece of 4" stainless tubing I had to route the filter over to the drivers front corner. I plan on cutting some type of hole in the radiator support to route fresh air to the filter. Heat shields might be fabbed at a later time. And yes I am missing a clamp, I ran out of 4" hose clamps
I also made an aluminum bracket to support the filter and locate it at the radiator support. Then I moved on to stripping out the interior... I removed all the dash components, cleaned up some wiring, removed the seats, pulled the gauges, removed the glass... you get the idea, heres the pics I also removed my B&M floor shifter, I am converting to column shift, just waiting on parts to arrive...
