Re: Idea's on stuff to mill or turn
I've come to the conclusion that LHM may be anti-billet.I say this because with his post count you would think he read every post on the forums. However he has not commented on the 'Bobble Head Andy" idea,so I'm almost certain he saw the title and passed up this thread without looking.
Maybe we nee a IBHARY thread. (Is Bobble Head Andy Ready Yet) Maybe we could compare the post count to some of the other long ones such as IIOY.And LHM wont even know what we're refering to.

Re: Idea's on stuff to mill or turn
for you guys looking for shorter shift handles - you can go with the van's shift levers - they're shorter. I might be able to come up with a sample for reproduction. My buddies got one in his truck.

Re: Idea's on stuff to mill or turn
How about power steering brackets for the 292 inline6 or evne AC compressor brackets for the same. Those are items that NOBODY makes, and billet ones to boot would be AWESOME!
Here are some more ideas... inside dome light bezels exterior cargo/third brake light bezels E-brake release handles ash tray doors -Lance

Re: Idea's on stuff to mill or turn
Something I've frequently thought about making on my own is a stainless ash tray cover that served as a switch panel for 3/4 toggle switches. I think a lot of us with several accessories (electric fans, fuel pumps, etc) would buy one rather than finding inconspicuous places to hide switches.

Re: Idea's on stuff to mill or turn
The only problem I have with that,is they would be real expensive to produce very small numbers.I would need a BIG order of each size for those. It would be cool.

Re: Idea's on stuff to mill or turn
Are you still cranking out billet stuff? I am changing to a different side mirror and thought a good way of disguising the old holes left behind besides just screwing the bolts back in, would be to have a triangle shaped billet base that screws to the mirror holes. The center where the mirror stem Would have been could be blank or have some script like 4X4 or a bowtie or something.
Something like this but without the mirror stem attached (of course). Interested in making me set? Last edited by Olden Days; 08-19-2009 at 05:32 PM. |
