Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
damn, that rendering is sick. is that the direction of the blue truck or that first one you showed? nice work so far, coming along nicely

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
its actually a combination of both.. i bought the blue truck as an overpriced "parts" truck (even though i thought it was a pretty fair price ).. in other words i bought a DD (the blue one) and a project.. the roller and im attempting to combine them to make the rendering (or something of the sort)

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
i cant believe im doing this, but im taking this project back into another direction.. no more air ride setup.. that whole frame, baer brakes, tanks, compressors, built ford 8.8, ........ is for sale.. im posting it up in the for sale section.. sooo.. back to the static drop.. its going to keep the same ride height as when it was when i bought the blue one..still goin to paint black.. am goin to keep the coys for now (maybe powder coat black??).. got the motor picked up today!! super stoked.. i asked the builder."so you still think its gonna push over 500hp?... he said no its deff pushing over 550!! yeya!!

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
i hear you on having to sell some stuff, i am there also, can aafford to finish how i want, so in a couple years i will finish it, after i do a few more customer builds. it is better to drove it than have it sit in the shop collecting dust. that is one reason mine is a static drop.

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
cant get a good pic of the nova.. (too much junk around..i guess i should prob help my dad clean up his garages after he gets done painting my truck.. he's been workin on it full time since we started).. the nova is a 72?? back halved fiberglass front drag car.. i dont know a whole lot about the car, bc i never really got into drag racing like my dad was (i guess thats why he quit doin it.. nobody to hang out at the track with??) what i do know is that its a sbc pushing around 700hp.. runs 6.3x in the 1/8.. he quit drag racing probably 4 years ago, and its been sitting there since.. (i tell him every day that we need to bring it to the track and get it sold, but i guess he isn't too worried about it)... ps cab will be done being painted by friday.. which means re-assembly starts next wk.. ohh and another ps.. i bought a whole new bed.. (old one had more rust than i felt comfortable with.. not bad, just not what i was looking for.. so the old bed will be posted for sale soon) yea this is getting expensive!!
