Re: 6.0 install complete
What "pedestals" are you using?
I have an lq4 in a 68, using the 6 cyl pedestals and stock style mounts in the stock location. I cannnot find manifolds that work and the thorley's seems too pricey for me.

Re: 6.0 install complete
You need to put in some like ones from CPP ( grey tubular) or from ECE, The CPP ones move the motor up to the front perch holes, BTW I have a pair if your interested, would like to get rid of them, make an offer if your interested.
They look like this. http://www.classictrucks.com/tech/09.../photo_09.html

Re: 6.0 install complete
Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to move the engine forward. The ece sheetmetal mounts keep the engine n te rearward location and allow manifolds to be used?

Re: 6.0 install complete
He made his own pedestals. He has edelbrock hot rod headers.

Re: 6.0 install complete
What I used was the POL stands, perches, these will put the engine up a little so headers will fit, they will still need to be block hugger type, I used Sanderson CSLS1 shorties, I have also heard that the Trailblazer SS manifolds work well too. I tried Fbody and stock before going with the Sandersons
