Truck looks great! Question is, how do you like the pin striping?

Re: Off to the Body Shop

Well,

I think it looks good!

It throws off my plans for the insides though. I was planning on Red/Black interior.

I'm thinking of parting out my '86 Jimmy (Seats, console, Dash Pad, Door Panels, visors, etc). Pulling the motor & tranny to put into the '57 after freshening it up. Retire the '86.

I believe JDurant was interested in my bench seat in the '87. We want buckets in it.

Re: Off to the Body Shop

Well, it would be easy to go over the pin striping would it not? You could do it in maybe white or light gray on top with a red stripe on the bottom the go with the interior you want.

Re: Off to the Body Shop

I might still be interested in that seat. But priorities have changed a bit.

Your truck looks excellent. And lucky it turned out that way. I would have flipped my lid about that guy putting on the stripe without my knowledge though. But, I love it. You made some good choices on what trim to keep and what trim to remove. I think tan interior sure would look good now.

Thanks,

Hmmm. Tan? Never considered it. I'd like some buckets for it and a console. Wife needs a headrest for those long cruizes'.

It had a red interior but most everything was rattle canned black except the inside trim. I'm pretty sure I can remove the black paint on the inside of the doors to reveal the original color, or worst case swap them with the ones in my '86 Jimmy since its my DD. They are Red also and in perfect shape.

Truck looks incredible. Very well executed!

Do you recall what the backspacing is on those TTs? I thought my '49 was going to be my 1st project but I picked up a straight '84 that I can get on the road soon as my daily driver and TTs are in its immediate future.

Re: Off to the Body Shop

Your body man rolls like he's Chip Foose. He definitely went out on a limb with the pinstripes but I think they look great. They should look great with whatever interior you choose.
