Re: Firebird bezels
Well he is no longer a vender and has not been to the board in a month...I guess he decided against selling these. I am going to talk to a local shop about getting some fabbed.

Re: Firebird bezels
I won't bore you with the details, but I've had some machine shop issues lately, but I think we are back on track. Sorry for the delays. I currently have 8 sets ready for delivery, and 16 sets that will be ready to ship next Monday. Tx Firefighter-I will send you a couple to powdercoat, PM me your shipping address. lks dvcn-I don't see why your idea of not cutting off the sheet metal wouldn't work. Just remove the clips and possibly re-drill or slot the existing holes to the new locations. If you decide to go back to stock, just put the clips back on and you're ready to go. Good idea! As far as my vendor status goes, I'm not sure what happened to it, I paid for a one year vendor subscription @ 275.00 and now it's gone???. Maybe a Moderator/Administrator could check this out for me? You may begin the order process by sending me a PM with your name, shipping address, and UPS shipping requirements (ground, orange, blue or red). I will reply to your PM with a total including shipping. Paypal the funds and we'll get them out the door. Thanks again for all you patience.
Greg

Greg,
Set me aside a set if you will. I will pick them up from you in the near future if you are good with that. Shawn

Re: Firebird bezels
Greg,
Good luck with the bezel sales. I purchased a set of Firebird bezels with the intent of doing this a few months ago. Developing rectangular bezels was a good idea. To add a comment to a design allowing the return to stock lenses. The lens opening must have the tabs cutoff to allow the 'sandwich effect' of the design of this lens/bezel to work. The Firebird lens will interfere with the angled tab, as it's intended to be installed from the inside of the fender. Yes, the bezel will fit with a simple slot in the tab, since the span between the posts of the bezel is just slightly different than the stock truck lens. But, the Firebird lens won't fit properly from behind without the stock tab being completely removed. That being said, I know members that are interested in this idea of utlizing these bezels will develop a means to make this work without cutting those tabs. Be sure to post if anyone does. |

Re: Firebird bezels
Got mine installed. Had to drill out the holes in the lens so everything lined up. No big deal. I like them.
